Q: 1. I would like to use a lavalier mike for syncing with my videos. Does it provide phantom power and and way of clipping the recorder to the subject so they don't have to handhold when using a lapel mike?

A: The Zoom H2n features a 1/8 input jack which is not capable of providing phantom power. 48volt Phantom requires an XLR mic connection. The unit will however provide what is called plug-in power, a small voltage (1 -10volts ) that many mics that feature a 1/8 jack require. Unfortunately there is currently no accessory available to allow the H2n to be belt worn. It may be possible however to fasten a small case to a subject such as the Porta Brace GPC-7X5 which features a handstrap.

Q: 2. before I buy the zoom h2n I would like to know if the sim card from my zoom h2 that I have recordings on,will play back on the zoom h2n ?

A: We have listed the specs for the SFP included with the Blackmagic Design DeckLink IP HD Optical card below. At this time no other SFP models have been tested and shown as compatible. Q: 5. Is there an electronic version I can?

A: If you are referring to the shoe adapter the male thread size is standard 3/8. The same is true for the female thread size in the recorder.

Q: 6. Is there a channel for cables to go through? I see that there are integrated cable versions and was wondering if I could have my own cables inside instead.

A: No the channel is closed and too small to pass a USB cable

Q: 8. is the arm 40" with out the 14" extention?

A: Yes, the BAI-2N broadcast arm itself is 40" without the 14" riser.

Q: 9. Can I run my own xlr cable through the arm? I want to use my red cables.

A: We cannot recommend disassembling the arm to do so.

Q: 10. The metal rod keeps spinning the mic down when I try to adjust hte positioning of the mic. No matter how tight I make it, it still easily moves. Please help... What do I do?

A: Try some Lock Tight on the threads.
