Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. is the arm 40" with out the 14" extention?

A: Yes, the BAI-2N broadcast arm itself is 40" without the 14" riser.

Q: 2. What would be the easiest way to hook one of these up to a TV?

A: The HoverCam Solo Spark II Document Camera (BH # HOHCSSII) will connect easily via the included USB cable to a computer, which would then be connected back to the TV via an HDMI cable.

Q: 3. Be honest, are stands nice like the Alu Ranker stands or will I toss them out? I really just like it for the pivoting crossbar.

A: Yes, the Manfrotto Solo Background Support System (10') is a very good background support. It supports like most up to 22 lbs.

Q: 4. Does the equipment come with a power charger and extension cables for internet modems? What exactly is in this package? What is the virtual cloud server? What is the difference of this package with the one that costs 1849 dollars?

A: Hi bamk R. Yes it comes with a power connection and everything you see here. The package you are looking at is for our Solo HDMI bundle. The cloud server is where we do our bonding, apply our panted LRT (LiveU Reliable Transport) algorithm to the signal for the highest possible quality stream. The main difference between this and the more expensive one is the connections on the unit. The higher priced model has both HDMI and SDI inputs. Hope this answers your questions.

Q: 5. Without the subscription services, is there a workable free Ap? To tell LiveU device where to send the stream? To one of many CDN? And can LiveU stream live using ONLY wiFi from a smart phone hotspot? No other modedm no ethernet, strictly a hot spot from let's say an iphone? Obviously it would have to be in airplane mode. Also would a subscription be required if I wanted an embedding code of the stream to give to a client so they can IT it to their website?

A: According to LiveU they do not have an App. However they do have a portal, which is mobile friendly and can be accessed on the go. The LRT subscription is to take advantage of the bonding feature on the unit however it is not needed. The unit can stream on 1-4 connections at the time with LRT active. The unit can only stream to one CDN at a time, however Switchboard Live and Restream are both good options to push your stream to multiple destinations. LRT and Graphics are their only two subscriptions and neither are required to stream.

Q: 6. My crossbar has gone missing. Can I order a replacement?

A: Unfortunately, we do not carry the specific cross bar for this stand. You may obtain this as a replacement part through the manufacturer directly. https://bit.ly/2zV9Flp

Q: 7. The metal rod keeps spinning the mic down when I try to adjust hte positioning of the mic. No matter how tight I make it, it still easily moves. Please help... What do I do?

A: Try some Lock Tight on the threads.

Q: 8. Is there a channel for cables to go through? I see that there are integrated cable versions and was wondering if I could have my own cables inside instead.

A: No the channel is closed and too small to pass a USB cable

Q: 9. Does this unit bond the download as well. If I am downloading content onsite will i get the use of all attached internet sources?

A: Unfortunately, the LiveU Solo does not bond the download.

Q: 10. Ok so I read here that the Solo streams to the solo portal at a set 5 secs delay. The stream is then sent to whatever destination we requested. OK, with that said, does that mean there are additional latency delays? So a 5 second delay and then the destination delay? IF that is what I read what is the total delay for the latency? That might make it harder for LIVE Q&A engagement.. Thanks for any feedback

A: There may be additional delays depending on the strength of the network signal on the other end. However you would need to test this out to see what those additional delays may be.
