Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Can this earphones be used in lap tops, T.V.s, and radios ?I dont understand about output or input specific measures. Do I need to get adapter cables.? Are they included in the box? Does the Polsen HMA-41 Amplifier work with an independent power connection?
A: The Sennheiser HD 280 Pro are designed to be able to function with a wide variety of devices from portable mp3 players to professional audio systems. The unit features a 1/8 jack compatible with most consumer products such as laptops, walkman and smartphones. The included 1/4 adapter will allow the use with home stereo receivers and professional audio equipment. The Polsen HMA-41, allows for the connection of up to 4 sets of headphones from a single input source, and does require power supplied by the included AC adapter.
Q: 2. Will this work with a Sony AR 7 II
A: I've only tried it with a Nikon D750. So, I'm unable to confirm if it would fit the Sony AR 7 II, apart from what is claimed. It is fairly universal and adjustable.
Q: 3. Would the HD 280 headset be considered Hi-Fi, or Audiophile quality?
A: Although I'm familiar with the term, audiophile, I am not sure what the qualifiers are for headphones to be describes as such. However, these are tuned flat. That means none of the frequencies are cut/boosted. Most high quality headphones for entertainment purposes have boosts and cuts throughout. Bass boosts are pretty common these days. Flat tuning is desirable if you are in the studio. Mixing engineers need to hear the audio like this. Imagine if you are mixing a song, and your headphones had a bass boost. The final product would only sound right on the headphones you used. It is likely that the bass frequencies would be too quiet when listening with other headphones or speakers that don't have the same level of bass boosted. Flat frequency is like the baseline or foundation. The sound is neutralized. Is this what you are looking for.? Look elsewhere if you are looking for headphones that add a bit of color to the audio.
Q: 4. Is this an 18% gray?
A: According to Michael Tapes the designer, he states that it is an 18% gray.

A: I'd say they would be fine, they also allow for my glasses.
Q: 8. How do these compare against Sony MDR-7506 ( build and all important sound quality )?
A: They are very similar in build quality and overall performance. The SONY may have a bit more lower end, but it is below the human hearing threshold. Sony's warranty is 90 days while Roland is offering 1 full year.
