The cocoa Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses of worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

This omnidirectional version effectively rejects unwanted sound and feedback better than a lavalier in almost any way you wear it, so it's very user-friendly for new and experienced users alike. Flexible microphone positioning is maintained, and the included windscreen minimizes the wind noise often associated with omnidirectional microphones.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon earpads. The flexible boom provides ease adjustability to accommodate multiuser applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections is available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is cocoa and features a TA4F connector for use with Shure AD1 and ADX Axient wireless transmitters.

A miniature omnidirectional capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters.

The E6i omnidirectional earset rejects unwanted sound and feedback better than a lavalier almost any way you wear it, so it's very user-friendly for new and experienced users alike.

This E6i's W6 sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture speech and vocals.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the Microphone Adapter compatible with the Utility Frame?

A: Yes, the Insta360 Microphone Adapter for X4 is compatible with the Insta360 Utility Frame for X4.

Q: 2. Will this microphone pair function as a line input on a Zoom H1n to record 2 people?

A: The Polsen MO-IDL2-MK2 Dual Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone is intended for use with smartphones and cameras. Because of the mic's 3.5mm TRRS connector, it may not function properly with the input on the Zoom H1n Portable Handy Recorder and may require the use of an adapter such as the RODE SC3 3.5mm TRRS Female to 3.5mm Right-Angle TRS Male Adapter Cable (B&H # ROSC3) to convert the plug from TRRS to TRS. As a better option for the H1n, you can use the Polsen OLM-20 Dual Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone (B&H # POOLM20), which is intended for this purchase.

Q: 3. Will the V-MODA BoomPro fit properly into the Senal SMH-1000?

A: Yes, this should fit properly on these headphones.

Q: 4. What is the country of origin for this product?

A: Australia

Q: 5. Can this microphone be used with a AA battery for source of power also?

A: The NTG-1 does not feature battery power capability, however the NTG-2 is the same mic with the addition of the AA battery compartment.

Q: 6. If I am putting a microphone on it, do i need to buy an extra piece to go with the stand? Or does it come with it already?

A: This is just the stand - it does not come with a microphone clip. The part that actually holds the microphone is called a clip, and should come with the mic (guaranteeing that it will fit). Mic clips can be purchased for your specific mic.

Q: 7. What is the Signal to Noise Ratio?

A: The S/N ratio for the Zhiyun TransMount Shotgun Microphone (B&H # ZHTMSGM) has not been published, nor is it available through any documentation.

Q: 8. I know that technically shotgun mics are meant for outdoor use, but does anyone have any experience with how well or poorly the rode ntg4 does inside, as in have you used it on your production indoor with satisfying enough results?

A: We bought ours primarily for indoor use and have been very satisfied with the results. We have a loud HVAC unit and the built in filter on the mic took away that sound and kept great clarity.

Q: 9. Hi, does anyone know how long the actual y-adapter is? Not the cable since that says in the description, but the actual y-adapter-cable?

A: I don't have a ruler to measure it exactly, but I'd say the Y-adapter is about 6 inches long.

Q: 10. There appear to be three settings for the high-pass filter: the switch can be positioned towards the front of the mic (bent line symbol), in the middle (straight line symbol), or towards the back of the mic (circle symbol). I gather the bent line represents "hi-pass filter on", the straight line "hi-pass filter off", but what does the circle setting do?

A: The circle setting turns the mic off.

I use this mic with our Canon XA10 for shooting company video, product demonstrations, and presentations. The quality audio this mic picks up is great. Although it could use an on/off switch (as it will drain the battery if left in) we are very pleased.

Seriously have been so impressed with this mic. It has a great natural sound I don't even have to do any post work. Physically its built like a tank. I still do on my higher end projects but over all I would be happy to pay double for this mic. I use it with my H4n in interviews and its perfect.

I am a Film student and I needed to make a 20 min film for class. I outfitted my small consumer HD camera to be compatible with the NTG-2. The audio quality was fantastic. If you were to close your eyes you couldn't tell you were listening to a student film. Of course, if you are in a professional studio you will want more powerful and diverse microphones. However for the low budget films this mic is a must have.

I use it for run and gun journalistic style shooting and voice over work. It does pick up a lot on the low end of the range. This means it picks up a good amount of echo when used inside, though this is easily correctable in post. I love the way it sounds in a sound booth, nice and deep. It's far from perfect but for the price it a good mic.

The Rode NTG 2 became my outdoor mic to compliment my Oktava mod MK12 condenser microphone. It has performed well and with it's battery power, can plug right into my iPhone4 (with the right cable) for quickly recording some foley in a pinch.

Great sound quality at a budget price. Equipment like the NTG-2, and the high image quality of today's cameras and DSLR's, its possible to create high quality productions at a budget cost. If the individual has the skills they are no longer limited by extermely expensive equipment to be able to something amazing. Use: Amateur/semi professional Documentaries Pros: Great results when used correctly; comparable with microphones twice its price; robust build with 10 year warranty Cons: Not much, but if I had to be extremely picky I would mentioned that it can struggle a bit when the subject is significantly further away than the recommended distance. The NTG-3 deals with this issue better.

I use it for documentary interviews. When set up correctly, I am able to interview two people at once, without having to run two mics. It has consistently given me clean sound, and the built-in high-pass switch is great! It cut the low-frequency Air Conditioner hum out when I shot an indoor interview recently. Very pleased with this purchase!
