Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. does it have correct infinity focus?

A: In general yes. Check the Fujifilm website for specific lens applications.

Q: 2. Does this adapter transfer the EXIF data from the Voigtlander M mount lenses to the camera?

A: The FUJIFILM M Mount Adapter for X-Mount Cameras allows for the writing of EXIF data with compatible M-mount lenses, such as Voigtlander or Leica. There is additionally a "custom focal length" setting in Fujifilm Cameras that allows for a custom value to be written to EXIF data.

Q: 3. Would I be able to use a Voigtlander VM 50 mm / F 1,1 Nokton on my Fuji XT-1 with this adapter? If so, would I retain the metering of the camera or would I effectively have to experiment to find the correct exposure/use a lightmeter? Thanks. :)

A: The Voigtlander VM 50mm f/1.1 is compatible with this adapter on the Fujifilm XT-1. You will retain manual metering.

Q: 4. Would this adapter work on the Fuji XT-30? If so, I would need to set the camera to manual mode for aperture settings. Would the camera automatically set the shutter speed? Thank you so much!

A: Yes, this will mount and function on the X-T30. Auto-exposure settings like ISO and shutter speed will still function since the camera is still metering.

Q: 5. Anyone tried Nokton 35mm or Ultron 28mm f2 with this mount adapter?

A: Here is a chart showing what lens you can use with the Fuji M Mount adaptera href= http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital_cameras/accessories/lens/mount/fujifilm_m_mount_adapter/compatibility_chart/ target= _blank http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital_cameras/accessories/lens/mount/fujifilm_m_mount_adapter/compatibility_chart//a

Q: 6. Hi, I'm considering purchasing this, but both my leica lenses are Pre-ASPH and the spec list only states that the ASPH version is compatible. Will the Pre-Asph fit as well without damaging anything? The specific lens is the Elmarit M21 2.8 Pre-ASPH. Thank you!

A: It is not recommended to use with pre-ASPH lenses as compatibility and fit cannot be guaranteed.

Q: 7. Will this work with Voigtlander NOKTON classic 35mmF1.4? Fuji website said no. I am not sure what that means.

A: I looked at Voigtlander Nokton Classic 35mm f/1.4 MC and SC and no-suffix lenses on ebay. I looked at my adapter and I see that the rearmost part of it closes down relative to the front opening for the M mount lens, so maybe the very large rear element of the Voightlander would collide with or be partially obstructed (optically) by that part of the adapter. Diameter of this part is about 29mm. Note the adapter has this only for the electronic contacts, and another adapter without electronic contacts might be better. Fuji includes a rear size gauge with the adapter to help you prevent use when the lens is not going to fit or work properly.

Q: 8. What is the crop factor?

A: The APS-C sensor crop factor for a full-frame lens is 1.5. So, if you use a 35mm summicron Leica lens with the Fujifilm Adapter for the Fuji X series it will produce an equivalent of an image corresponding to a 52mm lens on the APS-C sensor. I've used the 35mm 1.4 Summilux Leica lens on a Fuji X-E1 with the Fujifilm adapter with excellent results. But if you want to use the Leica lenses on a full-frame sensor then you should consider the Sony A7r. I'm very happy with the quality of the Leica glass and very comfortable using these other bodies and sensors from Fujifilm or Sony. The X-Trans sensors are superb! Good luck and keep up making good images.

Q: 9. will this lens adapter support the new FujiFilm XT-1?

A: Yes! I have use it with a Voigtlander 75mm with the XPro 1, XE1 and the XT 1, no problems at all.

Q: 10. Renato K says in this list of questions, I've used the 35mm 1.4 Summilux Leica lens on a Fuji X-E1 with the Fujifilm adapter with excellent results. Really? Fujifilm's list of lenses states that this lens is not compatible.

A: I have first version (the kind that uses series filter in lens hood). It does not mount on m adapter.
