Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does 'Dektol - 2019 Version' mean that it's the contaminated stuff?

A: This current Kodak Professional DEKTOL Paper Developer would not exhibit any issues.

Q: 2. hi, do you have the fresh ones or all are expired in 2011?

A: all are taken and revealed

Q: 3. Do you have to mix the whole gallon at one time? Should it all be mixed at one time? How long does the developer last mixed up in a gallon jug? When you use it for 1 print developing session, do you throw out the developer that you just used?

A: Kodak recommends that you mix the entire package due to the fact that the different dry chemicals will separate and stratify in the package due to shipping. Once the stock solution is mixed with water it will keep up to 6 months in a full tightly sealed container. You can keep multiple smaller containers of the stock solution if you desire, again they should be full and tightly capped.Regarding a printing session, Kodak states a capacity of 120 8x10 prints per gallon of 1:2 dilution developer. Most people never attempt to use it to full capacity since the developer is cheap and it can be difficult to detect when the developer is becoming exhausted. You may mistake exhausted developer for insufficient exposure or contrast. If your a hobbyist then use it for something less and replace. I personally use it to 50 to 75 percent of capacity and never more that two printing session due to concern of extended exposure to the air / oxidation.

Q: 4. does this work with a canon 5d mark iv with a 100-400mm lens?

A: The Canon 5D Mark IV with the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM Lens can be used with the OP/TECH USA 18" Rainsleeve.

Q: 5. Reviews of this product indicate that the actual ISO is 200, not 400? At what ISO should this ISO be shot?

A: You can shoot at 400, 200, or even 100. What it really all depends on is how you develop the film. Kodak rates this film at 400 which is perfectly fine with their standard development specs for 400 tri x. I shoot it at 100 and develop it in a 1:1 solution of D-76 and water at 72 degrees. I develop for 8 minutes (agitate 30 seconds in the first minute and 10 seconds in each minute following) I recommend this development because it provides quite good contrast and excellent densities (if exposed correctly at 100 ASA/ISO)

Q: 6. Is this 6x6 format film? I ask for the purpose of knowing which size negative carrier to purchase for darkroom printing. Thank you!

A: Yes, this is 6x6cm film, also known as 2 1/4 film.

Q: 7. will this sleeve fit on a Nikon D3s body?

A: It easily fits a Canon 5D III with a 70-200 2.8 Zoom with lots and lots of room to spare. Very roomy!

A: Yes, the OP/TECH USA 18" Rainsleeve (Set of 2), B&H # OPRS18, would be compatible for use with the Canon EOS 1D X Mark II DSLR camera.

Q: 9. Do I need this if I have a weather sealed camera and lens?

A: It would be on the safe side to use this in addition to weather sealed equipment, yes.

Q: 10. Can this one fit with the Canon 1Dx mark ii ?
