A: I am not familiar with the Pelican Air. I do know that the Storm cases weigh less than the regular Pelican cases. Which is why I prefer the Storm. That being said the lighter Storm case is extremely durable & I have never had any problem or failure shipping around the USA & over seas. I also prefer the Storm case latches. They are easy to use & never fail.

A: You can do time lapse photography with the SJ4000. There are YuTube videos on how to do it. Using the highest quality setting 12MB JPEG, on a 32GB card, you can get 8,000 images.
