A: Yes Michael, it's tight, but you can close the door on the battery compartment. There is a little rubber trap door on the battery compartment door that flips up for the cable to exit. Unfortunately, it won't work on the 3rd party AC adapter that B&H sells because the cable does not line up with the trap door. Only the expensive Sony version works.

A: No. The A7RIV uses a different battery-style. As of yet, Sony does not have an OEM AC adapter for it, but you may use higher amperage USB-C chargers to run the camera with some limitations.
