  • The 1-button, 1-LED concept with single-button interface and status indicator effortlessly handles power and linking tasks for you—without the need for any additional button pressing.
(For optimal results, use of the XSW-D is recommended in environments with limited Wi-Fi / 2.4 GHz traffic.)

  • Sennheiser wireless mic systems are an industry standard, prized by professionals for their clarity and reliability. The XSW-D system allows first-time and budget-conscious users to get their hands on genuine Sennheiser sound quality without breaking the bank.

  • Nothing ruins a take like hearing the weather report coming through your mic. Unlike traditional analog wireless systems, the XSW-D digital system operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band, protecting the integrity of your signal from interruptions and drop outs caused by TV channels, radios, or other sources.
  • Thanks to Sennheiser's channel allocation and interference management technology, the system selects the best operating frequency and automatically switches to a clean channel to provide reliable transmission at a distance up to 250' line of sight.

  • Because the XSW-D system operates in the license-free 2.4 GHz band, you don't have to worry about local licensing laws, frequency coordination, and other technical hassles.
  • Simply let the system pick a channel for you, and start performing—whether you're working at home or anywhere in the world.

  • Eco-friendly USB-rechargeable lithium-ion battery—1-hour charging to reach 50% of battery time
  • 5-hour total battery life gives you plenty of playing time
  • Conveniently recharge battery via USB while in operation or during breaks throughout the day
  • Low 3.9 ms latency with aptX Live codec specifically designed to maximize digital wireless microphone performance
  • Up to five systems can be operated simultaneously in the same environment
  • Mute from either transmitter or receiver
  • Multi-pairing lets you quickly switch between multiple transmitters linked to one receiver (note that only one transmitter can broadcast to one receiver at a time)

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. My camera takes an XLR input; I take it I can't use this system?

A: Sure you can. just use this adapter: Rode VXLR - Mono Mini-Jack to XLR Converter B&H # ROVXLR: https://bhpho.to/2L1WzGL

Q: 2. Are the XLR variants phantom powered? Do I still need to recharge the receiver?

A: No it cannot. Phantom power wont hurt the unit, but it won't help either. You can however power the wireless via the USB-C via a power supply or via the USB port of your mixing console, if it sports one.

Q: 3. Can the internal battery be replaced?

A: No the internal battery in this unit can not be replaced, if unit stops charging contact Sennheiser for further instructions.

Q: 4. What XLR microphone would you recommend to work with this kit?

A: Any dynamic microphone will work. If you want to do interviews look for an omni directional mic such as Item# SEENG18RL, or POHDR10. If you want it for singing, look at the SHSM58CN. It will also worj with XLR shotgun mics that are battery operated, such as the SEMKE600 or the RONTG2

Q: 5. Is it possible to pair 2 transmitters to 1 receiver?

A: The Sennheiser AVX receiver unit is only able to pair with a single transmitter simultaneously. For multiple mics operating simultaneously, you will need multiple complete systems. Each transmitter paired to its own receiver.

Q: 6. Does the transmitter accept mic and line level inputs?

A: Microphone level only: "Both transmitters are designed to transmit signal from a mic only (not line level from a mixer or recorder)."

Q: 7. Is it possible to use this to pull a feed from a mixer's alt main xlr output to the camera?

A: Only if your mixer offers a dynamic microphone level output.

Q: 8. Can I use 2 wireless mics on 1 receiver? Or would I have to buy 2 complete sets?

A: Hi Jacob - if you'd like to mic two separate talent, you would need two systems (or - in the case of the ENG kit, you could add-on another receiver to minimize the expense); each transmitter and receiver has a one:one relationship and a receiver cannot receive simultaneous input from multiple transmitters.

Q: 9. Could the Sennheiser CL 100 work also as an adapter?

A: Most likely the wiring scheme is the same so it should work just fine. Alternatively, you may want to consider an adapter such as Item# KOAXMMF

Q: 10. I am wondering about the output spec on the 1/8" connector on this receiver. Sennheiser's own website is useless (also manuals) in terms of actual spec. B&H says this is TRS 1/8" unbalanced line level. However unbalanced is normally 2 conductor (TS) and not 3 conductor (TRS). I want to connect this to a mixer and so want to make sure I have the right pinout and am not playing guess and check. Can someone tell me the actual physical/electrical spec?

A: It is an unballanced connection with a standard 3.5mm plug that will work with anything that will accept 3.5mm (except things wired for Sony). The tip is hot and the sleeve and ring are shorted together for the sheild If you are looking to get into a mixer I assume an XLR might be a better option.
