This case exceeds all of my quality and use standards. This case will be used in a militarty type enviroment for high quality video equipment. With the water tight seal and rugged construction it will more than do the job..

Pelican cases are strong and durable. This case seals tightly and includes a one-way valve for purging water from the interior. A nice feature of this specific model is the customizeable foam interior that can be cut to fit any component. Trouble-shooting: Cutting the foam can be tedious so I recommend first: measure the exact shape of the object you want to store in this case. Next: cut out the foam to the full depth of the case, minding the fact that there is an extra pad of foam on the very bottom which you should not slice through. Finally, measure the depth of your object and carefully slice through the foam horizontally. Note: This foam seems to absorb air moisture well enough that a silica (desiccant) packet is not required. Caution: I have not had this case exposed to high temperatures for any extended period of time so I do not know what the interior temperature gets up to. That being said, expect high interior temperatures due to thigh seal, insulation, and thick shell.

The best, simple as that. I have Pelican cases from when I was in the service and not a drop of water or speck of sand entereed. So, I knew this case was going to be nothing but perfect. All my photogear fits, with extra room for whatever else I want to carry. I would highly recommend these cases to anyone. The padded insert is easy to adjust (I learned from my last case to use plain paper, slide the velcro inserts in, and pull the paper out. Works everytime.

I use this product to ship small hard drives to broadcast facilities. The foam insert gives me great confidence that the product will arrive undamaged and returned in the same condition. It works great.

The 1120 Guard Box Pelican case is the perfect day trip camera case for my Cannon G-11. Compact and light. Fits my camera securly and there is even room for the manual. Great product ... The only thing I would like to add is a shoulder strap, which may be easily addapted to the handle.

I am planning to go for the extencive travel at the begining of May. So far the quality and the durability of the product looks very very good. The real test of this Pelican is about to begin. I use the 1650 in all my travels. It is a geat case for the price. I wish it were lighter. But I guess Pelican can't make it durable enough if it were constucted with a lesser type of material.

I purchased this case to enable me to cart around a 4x5 monorail view camera through the mean streets of NYC. It has exceeded my expectations. It is extremely rugged, very stable rolling aroud on uneven sidewalks. I use it as a container, a table, a seat, a platform. It is fairly heavy, so it requires strength to carry upstairs. No big surprise. The interior pick & pluck foam worked as advertised. I'm very satisfied. It allows me to get bulky equipment anywhere.

I have a 1510 travel case that is also excellent but I outgrew it for everyday storage. I still use the 1510 but have to decide what to bring. The 1654 is BIG and holds all of my equipment and more. I would never consider another brand!
