Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have been told that the Shure PSM 300 Twin-Pack is capable of being used as a wireless speaker system like the SENNHEISER Wireless Speaker System 5 which consists of 1 Transmitter and 2 Receivers. Please let me know if that is doable. I have always wondered if it will damage the speakers or not thanks?

A: Yes, essentially you could use the PSM 300 Twin-Pack as a Wireless Speaker System. They are NOT meant for this purpose, but if the proper cabling is used, proper gain staging, and you have proper line of sight this should cause no harm to the speakers.

Q: 2. What alternatives do i have to power this unit when in a sound bag?

A: The Sony URX-S03D UWP-D Dual-Channel Slot-In Wireless Receiver requires 7V DC 200mA from a camcorder or wireless power adapter such as the Sony DWA-F01D Digital Wireless Adapter (B&H # SODWAF01D). For mixer-bag use with battery systems, centralized management for the DWA-F01D can be achieved using the Hirose 4-pin or BP jack. For AC powering, you can use an InfoLITHIUM battery charger as an AC adapter or use a conventional AC adapter with the BP jack.

Q: 3. Can the pm351 pass through phantom power for a mic like SM7B + Cloudlifter?

A: This unit does not provide phantom power.

Q: 4. can this receiver handle 2 transmitters at the same time?

A: Just one transmitter to each receiver please.

Q: 5. Will the URX-S03D fit into the PXW-X320 XDCAM? if so, do you need a mounting adapter? thx

A: Based on Sony's website, this device should fit right into the PXW-X320's slot without any additional adapters.

Q: 6. Is this compatible with the Sony DWT-B01 Digital Wireless transmitters?

A: No, components from Sony's UWP-D line such as the Sony URX-S03D UWP-D Dual-Channel Slot-In Wireless Receiver are not compatible for use with components from Sony's DWX line such as the Sony DWT-B01 Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter.

Q: 7. Will the SMAD-P3 work with this system?

A: No, the SMAD-P5 would be the compatible model for the URX-P41D.

Q: 8. Does the URX-P41D provide a stereo digital Mi connection with a FX30 camera when used in conjunction with the SMAD-P30 adaptor?

A: Yes, the Sony URX-P41D Dual-Channel Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver can send stereo audio into the MI shoe of a Sony camera, but the adapter you would need is the SMAD-P5.

Q: 9. Is this unit compatible with a Sony AX-100

A: It sure will as this camcorder weighs well under this device's 5l pound payload.

Q: 10. Can the Sony URX-P41D be paired with a Lectrosonics LMb transmitter with the same frequency range?

A: No, a Sony URX-P41D Dual-Channel Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver will not work with a Lectrosonics transmitter.
