The Round Ultra Small Viewfinder Eyecushion, in red fleece, from Bluestar, is designed to fit securely over the eyecups of many compact DSLR and mirrorless cameras. It's made with thicker foam than that of standard Bluestar eyecushions to allow for better handling of the compact cameras. A: Hi, although i don't own an Element small yet, it does appear that you can remove the center column. There's a video on youtube that shows you how to mod your element small. Basically you unscrew the center column and place the ballhead directly onthe legs. Looks really nice and allows you to get very low. Obviously the trade off is that it doesn't go as high. The process is totally reversible and only take a couple of minutues.

A: It will hold your gear but will not be stable enough, the load capacity dictates a lighter camera/lens system, like a mirrorless camera with a lightweight lens.

A: The screw for mounting the QR clamp is an integral part of the ball in the ball head--there is no way to change the screw itself.

A: While it is not made for that camcorder the LS300 does have the same size of a screen as the original Pocket Cinema Camera, which is 3.5 inches. It should work on the JVC LS300 as well.

A: Unfortunately, the center column cannot be reversed.

A: Yes, you can replace the Manfrotto Element ballhead with a Manfrotto 502 video head, or any other flat-base 3/8"-16 mountable fluid head. Keep in mind that the legs are quite small for the set-up, and could be unstable depending on your loadout.
