Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Need box like the 1560, with out wheels and pull out handle?

A: I have the 1560 with the handle and wheels however I never use the handle pulling with the wheels due to the sensitivity of my equipment to rough surfaces, and they are so well confined that I haven't ever been hindered by their presence, and they case has been absolutely great protecting my expensive equipment.

Q: 2. Does this case come with pick-and-pluck? If not, how do you customize the foam? I'm new to Pelican cases without pick-and-pluck. I'm trying to find a case for the DJI Ronin-M

A: yes, this case comes with a three piece foam set that can be customized to fit a multitude of items.

Q: 3. Will the Pelican 1560 case be safe to check in, as is (as a checked in bag), at the airport? Or, are there any additional precautions that need to be taken, such as additional locks that might be needed for added security/protection so the case does not open accidentally during flight?

A: I check this, and other, Pelicans all the time. You don't need to lock them to keep them closed as long as the latched are properly snapped shut. One time they inspected one of my cases and didn't properly latch it closed. This allowed stuff to fall out.

Q: 4. Is this a good size for the Canon C70?

A: Great size for unit and more.

Q: 5. I noticed that when I put my dslr in the pelican 1560 (using padded dividers) there is a lot of empty space on top of the camera between it and the padded lid. Won't the camera bounce up and down when I'm moving the case or wheeling it around? Won't that damage the camera?

A: Sure it can bounce up and down.... Find a smaller piece of foam to fit that compartment.. I actually use a folded up wash cloth to secure my camera tighter

Q: 6. Can this case fit Celestron sky prodigy 130 optical tube and mount?

A: Yes Mount, and OTA will fit in this Case.

Q: 7. How do you attach the case to your belt? Where is the belt loop?

A: It has a belt loop on the back of the case. There is Velcro so you can open up the belt loop to loop it around something and then close it.

Q: 8. Will this Pelican Storm case performs better than the new Pelican Air Case (1535)?

A: I am not familiar with the Pelican Air. I do know that the Storm cases weigh less than the regular Pelican cases. Which is why I prefer the Storm. This is especially helpful when shipping or flying as luggage. That being said the lighter Storm case is extremely durable & I have never had any problem or failure shipping around the USA & over seas. I also prefer the Storm case latches. They are easy to use & never fail.

Q: 9. What does "1564 for the Waterproof 1560" mean? I do not see where Pelican has a 1564 model case? Is it basically just a 1560? What is the significance of the 1564? Do all 1560 accessories fit this 1564 case?

A: 1564, refers to the 1560 case with dividers. Simply an item code that denotes the 1560 case with dividers.

Q: 10. Will this hold a Canon 70-200mm standing upright?

A: i have the sigma 70-200mm ( 8 inches end to end) and it will fit upright, but i prefer to have it positioned horizontally because of such a tight fit with the lid organizer i have in mine.
