Build quality is excellent. I tried one of those Seahorse cases and the durability wasn't there

I had shopped several on line and local retail stores for the Pelican camera case. B&H had the product for only $1 dollar more than the lowest I could find. With my many positive experiences with B&H it was a no-brainer to use them.The Pelican Case fits my Canon 7D camera, 24-70 L lens, 70-300 L lens, 4 batteries, AND my Canon S-100 P&S, too - and there is still some room left over. Great Product.

When I bought this case I was looking for something I could use to protect my camera equipment when I am on the water ... either in a flats boat or in a canoe. In particular, I wanted to protect my Nikon D800, a telephoto zoom (Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 or Nikon 80-400 mm, depending on the trip), a 16-35 zoom, a 24-85 zoom, and a few smaller bits like a spare battery and some back-up memory. I am pretty fussy about my equipment so I wanted something that would protect it from water and from a bump here and there. I suspected that this would do the trick but I was surprised how well it has worked out. I have not tried dropping the case, nor do I ever intend to. However it does seem quite sturdy and I feel that the equipment inside is well protected by the padding provided by the dividers. I have not tried throwing it in the water either but there is no question that my equipment is well protected from splashes, rain, or an accidental spill. AND if it accidentally ends up in the water, I am led to believe it will float so I don't have to go scuba diving. The box is not extraordinarily light but the equipment inside is fairly heavy and the added weight of the box isn't a big deal. The whole package seems of modest weight to me and it is easy to handle. In addition to taking photos on the water, I also take photos of horses and horse shows where there is a lot of dust. I didn't consider this when I bought the case but it works well for that too. Everything in the case is protected from the dust. All in all, this case works for me ... All I need to do is decide which telephoto zoom I need, pack it, and I am good to go ... feeling confident that the goodies inside are safe. And, really, I find it tidy and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

We use this case to transport our wireless mic equipment. Less than a c-note to protect gear costing thousands from just about anything is a real bargain.

I got this Pelican case to carry and protect my 10 monitor, 2 extra batteries and SDI-HDSDI converter. I am feeling secure and my investements are well proctected! Plus it looks very very Professional. Thx Pelican and a great thanks to BH video for the wonderful service.I am a customer for life.

I use my Pelican Case to hold and transport the underwater housing for my Panasonic Lumix camera. I feel as though the contents of the case are completely protected.

We are a media team that uses the Pelican cases to store all of our expensive video equipment. We recently purchased 3 Blackmagic Cinema Cameras and there was no question as to the brand of case we would buy for them. They are extremely durable, well built, and we love the foam inside that allows us to get a great custom fit. We'll buy again for sure.

No surprise that this is a well-built all around solid case. Easy to pull out the foam to custom fit my camera and lenses. The latches are very tight, could be a problem for people with arthritis. I like them, makes it feel solidly closed. I plan on using this as a carryon on a couple of upcoming trips, and in the boat while fishing.

I am looking into getting more of these cases, as I find that my accessory collection is growing as well and I need security for my babies...
