If you want a rugged and well sealed case this should do it.

great case for a macbook

I am using this case for both my computer and for handguns. I switch out the main foam piece and it works great for whatever I need. The locks on the case work great. It's very strong and stands up to extreme abuse.

I use this case to protect my 15in MBP-Retina. It fits perfectly with room to spare. I have cuts outs below the computer to hold the power cord, the super drive, and 2 portable hard drives. (Its big enough to fit a 17in MBP. I Put my Late 2007 model in and it to had extra room.) The Padded handle is great. have big hands and i have plenty of room. My Biggest surprise were the built in locks. I knew they would work but the first time i locked the case to see how secure it was i was amazed...there is no wiggle in the latches. While on a recent trip to see family i turned my back for a second and in that time my 3 year old nephew decided to jump on the case with the computer inside. Computer never knew a thing happened, the case did everything it was supposed to. I may be the only one who didn't know this but the swivels that allow you to attach a strap are not built on to the case. The come with the strap at an additional price. Not a big deal, but if you plan on using a strap you already own you'll have to order the Pelican strap anyways to get the swivels. You wont be disappointed by this case.

Great Case. Tough, functional and looks good in “Desert Sand”

I have 2 of these for my laptops and they protect them better than any other laptop case I've come across.

The case is hefty and rugged. The fit is superb. The latches feel tough and solid. The lock secures smoothly on each latch. The handle feels secure and the included foam is soft, yet firm enough to protect the contents. It is pick-n-pluck foam, meaning that it is perforated to allow you to customize your foam to fit the contents. The only con I can speak of is that the foam isn't two-tier. meaning, you pluck the full thickness out in little square columns. I wanted my laptop to rest in a bed 1/2 the thickness of the the foam, so I pulled out a full section of foam large enough to allow my laptop to drop in... then carefully sliced the foam I had pulled out so that I ended up with two pieces...each 1/2 of the original thickness. This allowed me to push it down into the void and create a recessed area.

Works great! You can carry your laptop around in the rain without worrying about it. Look for a size a few inches bigger than your laptop, so you have room for your cables etc.
