Soften the quality of light and tame the contrast of your flash or strobe unit with this 21 x 84" Super Pro X Plus Stripbank from Chimera The lightbank features a soft silver interior that maximizes output while minimizing the harshness evidenced in some softboxes with reflective silver interiors. The long, narrow shape of the lightbank makes it ideal for edge lighting or for use as a hairlight, while it creates long, elegant catchlights in reflective objects such as glassware. The Super Pro X Plus also offers a removable "full" front diffuser that can be replaced with optional 1/4 and 1/2 versions for contrast options, while the removable inner baffle subdues the hot spot and exhibits performance with edge to edge evenness. You can use the front diffuser and baffle together, in any combination, or not at all to achieve the look you'd like for your subject. Part of a system, the lightbank accepts optional modifiers that include fabric and metal honeycomb grids, as well as fabric barndoors.

So far I have digitized four 3-minute reels and one 5-inch reel with the Wolverine PRO unit. Reviewer comments about stalling at splices had me concerned but my unit has had no trouble sailing thru splices made by Kodak processing. On the other hand, a few splices made by my father have stalled. When I finish with the family film library, I will invite my friends to bring over their old 8 mm films for transfer. I wish a similar unit was available for 16 mm movies. 5

I had a film transfer business in the 80s and used the best equipment available at that time to transfer 8mm to VHS. I was looking at the old transfers recently and realized how bad they looked by today's standards. I decided to give this machine a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the results. The clarity and colors are amazing. Very happy with my purchase. There are a few little things to get use to in using this devise. Loading the film is a little awkward at first but it got easier as I went. I looked at several videos on the web before I purchased and got some helpful information. I'm able to enjoy looking at my old films again. 5

Works great, just as described. Haven't had any issues so far. Happy with how it performs. Solid purchase and would recommend if you are not looking to convert sound. Would be even better if they had a version that was capable of converting the sound as well. 5

Very easy to use and great quality. Ordered also a SD card, but never received it. Package was sent from the USA to Canada and opened in the transfer. Other than that, I'm very happy with the product. 5

So far I've converted 10 old reels of Super 8mm movies and am now learning how to combine them and edit them. The Wolverine was pretty easy to use. Their online tutorials were a big help. We'd sent some movies off in the past - but then couldn't edit the results - so this is very satisfactory. 5

This is a very good machine for digitizing old (1980) and very old (1950's) 8 mm and super 8 films. I read the reviews before buying and always clean the film with 70% alcohol and a soft flannel cloth and dry with a microfiber cloth. I also wrap the fourth post with a microfiber as described in the extensive review on the B & H site for the Wolverine. Doing these two things and paying close attention to framing has given me very good results, mostly limited to the age and grain of the original film. Using my Corel 2020 version Video editor I have digitized, added titles, transitions, and music. I have only used 50 ft. reels so far. The 9 reels with 600 ft. may be more of a challenge. All in all I am very satisfied with the value and quality of this product (and glad I didn't spend twice as much on the other offering at B & H. 5
