A: Using the Manual flash on the Nissin Air receiver will not give you HSS in the S1 or S2 setting.

Q: 2. Does it come with the grid?

A: It does not come with a grid.

Q: 3. Will a Nissin Air commander on a Sony mirrorless allow TTL to transmit to a Nissin Air Receiver for Nikon attached to a Nikon Speedlight? I'd like to use my a6300 with my Nikon flashes that I already own using the Nissin Air system. Will this work since they the receiver and commander are paired and can talk to each other?

A: This combination will not give you TTL control, of your Nikon flashes, only manual control. When using the Nissin Air R Receiver with the Nissin Air 1 Commander, they both must be of the same make, i.e. Nikon/Nikon. Sony/Sony in order to maintain TTL control.

Q: 4. I bought the Nissin Air commander kit (A. Comm. with the matched i700A flash. I have an older Nissin Di622 Mark II flash. Will this Air Receiver work with it? (The Di622) I'm shooting a Nikon system. Thanks!

A: I shoot Canon and it works perfectly for there flashes on a Sony system. I am positive they would work for Nikon flashes. The older flash I can not say because they are system dependent.

A: Unfortunately we do not have a grid for these at this time.

Q: 6. Suitable for profoto b2?

A: Yes, the Profoto speed ring version of this is correct for the Profoto B2 as well as other non small Profoto strobes such as the B10 and B10 Plus.

Q: 7. Can this be used with an einstein strobe, and if so can i use hss? I have the nissin air commander and di700 flash and would like to use both together with shutter speeds 1/200.

A: No, Amy, it can't. The way Sony's HSS protocols work, the signal is transmitted via a TTL command that's only accessable from a MI compatible shoe. You will have to buy a transmitter made by your strobe manufacturer with a MI shoe.

Q: 8. Which Nissin flashes does the Nissin Air Commander directly interface with, without the Air R?

A: Right this minute, the Air 1 interfaces only the DI700 (GN 54). However, the i60 (GN 60) is due out any day now to a month or two depending on what camera lens mount you have.

Q: 9. Will the Nissin s40 work with this receiver?

A: Yes, The i40 for Sony will work with the Nissin Sony Air R receiver once it is available. You must use the Sony Air 1 Commander to control the i40 Sony in this case.
