Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this the correct wimberley plate for Canon 300 2.8 ii ?

A: The Wimberley P20 Quick Release Plate, BH # WIQRPP20 would be the proper model. https://bhpho.to/2PyESow

Q: 2. Is this plastic or metal? Saw a review that suggests it's plastic.

A: It is metal and a well made piece...it works fine.

Q: 3. I have a Tamron 150-600 mm lens. I have a Wimberley p 20 lens plate, but Wimberley recommends the p30. Could I use my current p20 on this lens? I use a Wimberley gimbal head.

A: I think their recommendation of the P30 is to give the range needed to balance camera bodies of different weights. A Rebel without a battery grip is going to have a significantly different center of gravity than a 1D series or a pro-sumer body with a battery grip. In short if you you have a heavier camera you're probably never notice but if you use a pro-body without a grip or maybe even a Rebel with a battery grip you will probably want the extra length.

Q: 4. I have a Nikon 200-500mm f5.6 Vr lens. Which Wimberly plate would work best for this lens? Body that I will use is the D800

A: Wimberley's website recommends a P-30 lens plate for that lens.

Q: 5. Does this P20 plate attach and screw underneath the Nikon Z 400mm F/4.5 S Lens Foot?

A: Yes, the Wimberley P20 Quick Release Plate attached to the bottom of the foot on the Nikon 400mm f4.5 Z mount lens.

Q: 6. does this work for the ronin S?

A: Yes, this plate is compatible with the DJI Ronin-S.

Q: 7. Which quick release plate fit for Sony 200-600mm lens ?

A: This Wimberley P30 Quick Release Plate would not work with the Sony 200-600mm lens but these will all work, https://bhpho.to/3lVjnev

Q: 8. Will this work for the GH05 HEAD?

A: Yes, as long as the head was manufactures after August 2015. E-Image GH heads made before then require an E-Image EH6P plate. E-Image revised the top of their fluid heads in Aug. 2015 to make them compatible with Manfrotto plates.

Q: 9. IS THE P-30 COMPATIBLE WITH CANON 400 MM F4 LENS?

A: Their website recommends a P-20 lens plate for the Canon 400 f/4 DO lens. They did tell me that you could use a slightly longer plate if you wish.

Q: 10. Will an Arco-type release plate fit a standard Manfrotto tripod head?

A: No, Manfrotto heads are typically proprietary.
