These include the Alphatron, the Kamerar QV-1, VF-4, and VF-4+ EVFs, the MagView 3:2, 4:3, and 16:9 EVFs, those of the Canon C100, C200, C300, C500, XF300, XF305, and XF205 HD cameras, the EVFs of the Sony FS5, HVR-S270, HXR-NX100, and PXW-Z150 cameras, and many more. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Just bought the Impact Luxbank X-Large Rectangular Softbox to use with my Hensel moonlights. Is there a speed ring you would recommend to use for the larger Heavy Duty Flex Rods?

A: I used the suggested Impact brand speed ring

Q: 2. Is this compatible with 220v? (using 220v bulbs)

A: Pedro, the Light Shed is really great but you should order it stand alone and buy LED lighting kit. The light burn out too fast and are expensive to replace. LED will work much longer, less heat and with more control.

Q: 3. Could you recommend a fluorescent or LED light that would work well with the 54 x 72 box?

A: no its awful ...

Q: 4. Can anyone give me exact dimensions on the point to point and flat to flat edge of this grid?

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer was not able to provide the exact dimensions as it depends on the tension or smoothness when applied to the touch fastener on the softbox, and how much give the material has as it lays above the diffuser.

Q: 5. Can I use this with a Profoto ProHead Plus with a 500w modelling lamp at max (max referring to the modelling lamp)?

A: No, the Impact Luxbanx Extra Large Rectangular Softbox (54 x 72") is not made to work with a tungsten modeling lamp that is 500 watts. The Impact Luxbanx Duo Extra Large Rectangular Softbox (54 x 72") is made for that, https://bhpho.to/3SEnJYs.

Q: 6. Would this be compatible with Calumet Travelite? (Bowens mount)

A: I don't know.

Q: 7. Can this be modified to fit a Chimera Octopus 57 (7 feet kit installed) by stitching on velcro to the sides? How exactly does the touch fastening system attach? Chimera wants $1,180 for a 7 foot grid which costs more than the Octopus 5+7kit so I need an alternative because I just can't bring myself to pay that much for a grid.

A: I would personally stay away from this Octa because after a year of usage mine is already falling apart. And just to clarify we use ours just in the studio and it stays on one light on one stand and that's it

Q: 8. I tried it today but the setup is kind of difficult. Looking to understand how others use/store it. I wanted it so I can take full body shots in white background. I used my smallest (but still decent) stand and the stand does not allow it to reach to the floor (too high) so I had to hold it with a couple of boxes on the front of the softbox. It is too heavy for the AD600 to be able to hold it, another reason for the 2 cardboard boxes. Also how do you store it? Any photos of your setup ? Thanks in advance for any input

A: Photographers usually use a C-Stand with a sand bag.

Q: 9. It states maximum wattage is 250.....does that mean I can't use my 500W moonlight?

A: Yes, you can use a 500-watt Monolight strobe with the Impact Luxbanx Extra Large Rectangular Softbox (54 x 72"). The 250 watt is referring to a quartz light that gets hot. If you use a quartz light it cannot be any more than 250 watts. Note this does not come with a speedring. You will need to purchase one that works with your flash. This is a link for ones that will work with that softbox, https://bhpho.to/36GsXKk

Q: 10. Is there a speedring that can be used to mount this softbox on a Norman LH2400?

A: We do offer a speed ring such as the Photoflex Speed Ring for Norman B&H # PHSRODN which fits the Norman LH2400 heads and the Impact Luxbanx softboxes. Please note that this item is special order only at this time. Please see the image below for reference.
