The Tiffen 52mm Black Satin 2 Filter helps to reduce the overall contrast of an image and better control the highlights within a scene. In addition to rendering highlights with a grittier, more grainy appearance, this filter also helps to subtly soften facial blemishes and wrinkles for a natural, refined look. The 2 density provides more contrast and highlight reduction than the 1, but less than the 3, while still producing a soft, yet natural appearance.

This filter is constructed from Water White glass and is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and mounting to precision metal rings.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this lens work on my Nikon D90. I have one lens that is 18-105mm and another at 70-300mm

A: No, this is not the proper sized filter for these two lenses. The Nikon 18-105mm lens uses 67mm sized filter, and depending on which 70-300mm lens you have it could be either a 62mm size or 67mm sized filter. If you have the lens cap for the 70-300mm lens, simply remove it, and look on the underneath side of the lens and it will state filter size. Below are two links, the first is for 67mm sized filter recommendation, the second is for a 62mm sized for you to regard on our site:http://bhpho.to/1gI9JCAhttp://bhpho.to/ISN5vR

Q: 2. Is this the best filter for the P7700?

A: This will not be compatible with the P900.

Q: 7. I am going to buy this NC filter to protect my Nikon 18-140mm lens. My question is can I use this filter and the lens cap at same time?
