The NiSi Solid Neutral Density Base Filter Kit contains two filters that are compatible with filter holders that can accommodate 100mm-wide, 2mm-thick filters. Each filter can be used individually or in various combinations to create a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By increasing your aperture or slowing your exposure time, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

This kit's NiSi 100 x 100mm Nano IRND 0.9 Filter and NiSi 100 x 100mm Nano IRND 1.8 Filter are ND filters that provide a respective 3- and 6-stop exposure reduction. The design of these filters has been optimized for use with digital sensors and to promote nearly flat attenuation of visible and infrared light. Due to imaging sensors' greater susceptibility to infrared light, compared to traditional film, color casts can occur when photographing darker subjects that require increased exposure times. To provide a high level of neutrality across the visible and infrared spectrums in order to eliminate color casts and ensure cleaner, truer blacks when using the NiSi 100 x 100mm Nano IRND 0.9 Filter or the NiSi 100 x 100mm Nano IRND 1.8 Filter, one layer of NiSi Optical Nano Coating is applied to each of these filter's surfaces. The nano coating associated with these filters also results in an improved beading effect when in contact with water or oil for greater cleaning efficiency.

An included NiSi Four-Filter Soft Case for 100mm Filters is designed to provide a secure and convenient transport and storage solution for any combination of up to four NiSi 100 x 100mm or 100 x 150mm filters. Filters placed within this pouch are each held within one of four nonabrasive slots. They can be easily accessed by opening the pouch's touch-tab fastened front flap.

When photographing with a tripod, a loop along the rear of the NiSi Four-Filter Soft Case for 100mm Filters allows it to be secured to one of the tripod's legs, putting your filters in more immediate reach. This pouch's exterior is woven from canvas for durability.

Also provided is a microfiber cloth for cleaning and maintenance of the filters, as well as four light-blocking gaskets. A: This adapter will allow for the use of Image Stabilization and aperture control on a Canon EF lens. There have been no reports of a color cast or a reduction in sharpness when using the built-in ND filter.

I'm wanting to use this on a sony fx6 with has it's own in built electronic Vari ND which when using with mechanical variable in the creates funky unwanted colour shifting in parts of the image because effectively you have to polarizers. I'm assuming that this would have the same effect? In which case do you sell this item without the variable ND filter and I purchase my own solid 37mm ND filters to place in the tray? Will it fit any 37mm filter with out it being tight or moving around? Thanks

A: This does incorporate a Variable ND filter. There have been no reports of a color cast or a reduction in sharpness when using the built-in Variable ND filter. Unfortunately this is not available as an adapter without the Variable ND filter. This does accept 37mm filters. It should work with 37mm filters of standard thickness.

Q: 5. Does this lens work with OM -1 Mark ii? Do all features work. I like it as it is lot less in weight than OM version. Does teleconverter with OM -1 Mark ii ?

A: The Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmar 100-400mm f/4-6.3 II ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens does work with the OM SYSTEM OM-1 Mark II Mirrorless Camera. However, the lens does not fit the Olympus MC-20 M.Zuiko Digital 2x Teleconverter or the Panasonic DMW-TC20 2x Teleconverter.
