Extending the effective focal length of select Tokina and Nikon F-mount lenses, this Kenko TELEPLUS HD pro 2x DGX Teleconverter enables you to get even more reach out of your lenses. The dedicated design retains full communication between the lens and Nikon F-mount cameras in order to maintain auto-exposure metering and autofocus capabilities. These contacts also relay Exif data between the attached lens and camera, and convert the data to the actual focal length in use with the teleconverter attached. This 2x teleconverter effectively doubles your focal length and has a light loss of two stops. Additionally, the advanced optical design features seven elements in five groups, and a multi-layer anti-reflective coating has been applied to individual elements to reduce flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color rendering.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work on Canon 7D with Canon 70-300L IS USM lense ?

A: The Canon 70-300L IS USM lens, when connected to the Kenko TELEPLUS HD pro 2x DGX Teleconverter for Canon EF, will fit on the Canon 7D, with no "autofocus". the lens will lose 2 f stops and looking through the lens will be dark, and difficult to manual focus.

Q: 2. Is it the new 2x teleconverter from Kenko ? Image from their website is not the same (http://www.kenkoglobal.com/photo/lens_accessories/teleplus/kenko_teleplus_hd_pro_2x_dgx.html). Thanks!

A: They are the same, that link looks to be the Canon variant.

Q: 3. Will this Teleconverter work with the Sigma 150-500 5.6-6.2 used on a D7200 body? Lens was purcahased in 2013

A: Yes, the Kenko TELEPLUS HD pro 2x DGX Teleconverter for Nikon F would work with the Sigma 150-500 5.6-6.2 lens for Nikon F on a Nikon D7200 camera. However, it will not support autofocus or auto exposure functions or provide any communication between the lens and the camera.

Q: 4. Will this work with the T7i?

A: This teleconverter is designed for EF lenses--this would be a better option for the T7i: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1275834-REG/kenko_k_tphd2_0_c_teleplus_hd_2_0x_dgx.html

Q: 5. Will this work on a D750 with a 28~300 G lens?

A: Yes , but not AF

Q: 6. I have a canon SL3 (EF mount) and a number of EFS lenses. Just looking at it makes it seem like it'd be physically compatible with any lens I have, but would it work with the full manual Meike 50mm f1.2 I have on the way? Would it work with my EFS lenses?

A: The SL3 unlike some other Canon bodies does not have a function to set the camera to, "Release without lens". And without that function it will not work with a manual lens. The SL3 works with EF and EF-S lenses that autofocus.

Q: 7. Is the 2x Teleplus HD Pro compatible with the Nikon Z 6 with the FTZ Adapter? I hope to use it with an Irix 150mm f/2.8 lens.

A: Unfortunately, this product is not compatible with the Nikon Z6 with the FTZ and the Irix 150mm f/2.8 attached.

Q: 8. will the extender work with RF adapter?

A: Yes, the Kenko TELEPLUS HD pro 2x DGX Teleconverter for Canon EF is compatible with the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R. It allows full communication between Canon EF lenses and Canon mirrorless cameras.

Q: 9. Is this product compatible with a AF-S Nikkor 28-300mm f3.5-5.6 G zoom lens? If so, which of the lens/camera features will work and which will not?

A: It is compatible with electronic communication for exposure, etc.. but AF will not work given the slow aperture of the 28-300mm.

Q: 10. Will this work with Tamron 18-400 mm lens on Canon 7D body?

A: According to the manufacturer, this is compatible with EF mounted lenses produced by Tokina and Canon.
