Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this clamp be installed on my Arca Swiss p0 head? I have the version with the panning mechanism but no clamp installed, only the male 1/4 and 3/8 inch screws.

A: No, this would not be compatible with the Arca Swiss p0 head

Q: 2. Will this fit on Acratech GXP ball head?

A: Yes. Unit will also work on GV2, V2 or Ultimate Ballhead must be sent to Acratech for this installation. This service is free, but you will have to pay shipping costs.

Q: 3. How is the Lav clip build quality? I have another saramonic system and the clips broke after 2 shoots.

A: The lavalier microphones are basic and reliable. The build quality is very good given the price point for the complete package.

Q: 4. Will the clamp on this head work with the RRS BQDS plate?

A: Yes, the following RRS quick release plates will work for the follow ball head.

Q: 5. Hi mate,Im confused about this acratech clamp item and with the other similiar item. Do you think this item will fit with my manfrotto 054 magnesium ballhead and also with sirui k40x? What's the difference with acratech quick release locking level clamp?ThanksKevin M

A: The Acratech Arca-Type Locking Lever Clamp for GV2 will not work on the Manfrotto 054 ball head, since this head uses the Q2 quick release system. However, this clamp will work on the Sirui K40X ball head, as this head is Arca-type. The difference between these two is that the Manfrotto head uses a proprietary Manfrotto QR system, whereas Sirui uses an Arca-type QR system, which is more or less a universal quick release system.

Q: 6. Flexshooter mini or pro for Canon R5 with Canon RF 100-500. Also have Canon RF 800 F/11. I've read several articles online with differing views. Also, which Arca swiss plate should I buy for mini and which for pro?

A: Both the FlexShooter Mini Arca Ballhead and the FlexShooter Pro Ball head could support the Canon R5 with the Canon RF 800mm f/11 IS STM and the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1L IS USM lenses. That being said it is quicker and easier to balance large lenses on the Pro Head. Also the the torque applied when the lens is fully extended might overpower the ballhead's grip/friction force. So I would get the pro. The Acratech Quick Release Plate for Telephoto Lenses (4") is a good plate for both lenses. Here is the link:

Q: 7. Can this be used with a mobile device?

A: The Saramonic MV-Mixer USB-C Audio Interface is not guaranteed to be compatible with mobile devices.

Q: 8. Wondering how the mini would perform with a spotting scope?

A: This head would be fine when using it with a spotting scope and an appropriate plate.

Q: 9. Do you think this head is enough to work with the Sony Alpha a7R IV and 200-600 set or is it better to use the Pro head?

A: While the combined weight of the A7RIV and 200-600 lens are within the weight limit of the FlexShooter Mini, the torque applied when the lens is fully extended might overpower the ballhead's grip/friction force. I'd recommend the FlexShooter Pro for larger lenses, if only just to be safe. https://bhpho.to/3mBAOz8

Q: 10. Can you pair more than two transmitters with the Blink 500 Pro receiver?

A: No. The Blink 500 Pro receiver has two channels to accommodate a maximum of two transmitters only.
