Does this microphone not have the capability of being used out of direct mouth to microphone range? If so, its not what I expected. Thanks

A: The MV5 is not intended to be used from 10 feet away. You would be better off using a shotgun style mic like the Rode VideoMic Me-L (B&H # ROVMMEL) which is specifically for use with iOS devices that have Lightning connectors or the VideoMicro (B&H # ROVIDEOMICRO) which can be used with adapters or a 3.5mm to Lightning cable. We do have other similar shotgun style mics that will work much better to pickup audio from a distance. A: The volume control dial on the microphone is for the headphone level. The mic gain can be adjusted in the computer, or by using the ShurePlus MOTIV Video App.

I do home remodeling where II often work in dark attics or rooms where the power has to be cut off, I can use this headlamp for about 4 hours on high and still have battery life left, the adjustable angle helps when working overhead and the headband is comfortable enough for extended wear, the lamp controls are one hand accessible and simple. 5

From everything to wearing lighted vests, holding flashlights and more, it has always been an issue for me to be able to walk safely. With this Coast light, I easily wrap it around my hat (the soft adjustable wrap makes it very easy). The light has three level of brightness as well as a red and green light that are VERY bright. If you are a night walking, I highly recommend this product to keep your hands free. 5

These COAST headlamps are very reliable and particularly functional. Being able to adjust the beam from wide to narrowly focused is a great feature. Being able to search with red and green options makes hunting for wounded game much easier. They seem to last forever, though I loose them from season to season as they keep hiding in last season's gear. 5

The elastic head band is thick and has rubber type beads on two sides of the inside of the head band. It grips your cap, your skin, and doesn't slide up and down. Two power buttons, one to turn on the small green , then the small red light. The main light is bright! Has three levels of brightness. Takes 3 AAA batteries. It's not too heavy. 5
