Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you use the HDMI port or does this block it?

A: The Anton/Bauer Micro Battery Slide Pro for Sony FX6 would not block any of the cameras video output ports.

Q: 2. I Just used this adapter with a home made extension tube and macro lens to copy some slides. I used an SB700 flash in slave mode, triggered by the on camera flash on the D90 and aperture priority. On the LCD the copies looked great. But when I copied the RAW and jpg files to the computer, they look awful. Terribly over saturated and orange (I set white balance to flash ). What am I doing wrong? What settings would work better?

A: Hi Karen,Doesn't make sense about that color shift. It must be in the workflow somewhere. I always shoot raw files. I've used my slide copier with a slide light box, even hand held sometimes through a window.Unlike most shooting I do in raw, I leave the white balance on auto. I have been able to make very nice 24 prints from slides.I feel that the flash is overkill, because with the way this copier is mounted and used, it doesn't matter how long your shutter speed is. I had actually began devising a flash set-up at first but prefer the light box, or out the window.

Q: 3. Do they make one for the Sony FX9?

A: There is the Dual Micro Bracket for Sony FX9 from Anton Bauer. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1627027-REG/anton_bauer_8375_0243_fx9_bracket_gm.html

Q: 4. Would this work with the BS1H full frame version of the camera? Or are they different power requirements? Thanks.

A: Yes, the Wooden Camera Micro Battery Slide Pro for Panasonic BGH1 will also support the full frame BS1H Cinema camera as well.

Q: 5. Is there a (technical) reason this wouldn't work with cameras other than a Pocket 6K Pro if you have the appropriate Dtap cable?

A: The Micro Battery Slide Pro (Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K / 6K / 6K G2 / 6K Pro, Gold Mount) comes with a Power cable that would only work with the cameras listed from Black Magic. However if you don't use the power cable is should work with any other camera model if you use the D-Tap connector that is located on most Gold mount Batteries. The Battery slider pro also has 2 D-Tap connectors on the mount. Please note you would need 15mm rods to mount it.

Q: 6. I would like to use the ES-1 on a Nikon D800. What would be the best micro lens to use? Would I need adaptors also?

A: Officially the 55mm macro and extension tube were the correct items to use with this adapter, but the 60mm macro will also work without a tube.

Q: 7. Hi does this take all kinds of v mount batteries? Or a certain few (i.e. Indie Pro & Anton Bauer)? Thanks.

A: Yes, this will take batteries other than Anton Bauer.

Q: 8. I have a Tamron 60 macro, and shoot with a Nikon 850. will this work with the ES-1?

A: This is made for Nikkor 55mm f/2.8 Micro-Nikkor witch has 52mm filter thread and Tamron is 55mm, so you will need step up ring , but the 60mm will crop the slide abbot 10% that's the reason it will not work for me

Q: 9. thread size?

A: Nikon does not list the tread size for the Nikon ES-1 Slide Copying Adapter as it is compatiable by attaching it to the AF Micro-Nikkor 60mm f/2.8D lens with the BR-5 Ring or the Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/2.8 lens.

Q: 10. Can you use this with normal size gold mount (for example a Titon 98W) and is there any downside?

A: Yes, you can use the Wooden Camera Micro Battery Slide with normal size Gold mount batteries. There are no downsides.
