Designed to work with Gefen 4K multi-format transmitters, the Gefen HDBaseT Receiver with Audio De-Embedder and PoH supports any signal coming from the optional transmitter over a CAT5e cable, including DisplayPort, DVI, and VGA signals, and it outputs the signal via its HDMI output. It accepts a DCI/UHD 4K signal from up to 130' away and WUXGA/1080p60 signal from up to 230'. The same CAT5e cable can also carry PoH (Power-over-HDBaseT) from the transmitter. (When used with some transmitters, this receiver is limited to receiving PoH while with others it can also send).

The receiver features 3.5mm, TOSLINK, and RCA audio outputs for running independent audio or de-embedding audio from the transmitter. It supports up to 7.1-channel LPCM and HBR (High-Bit Rate) lossless digital audio, such as Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, DTS:X, and DTS-HD Master Audio. It also extends RS-232 and two-way IR signals sent from the transmitter. Encased in a compact housing, it can be used on a desktop or other surface or mounted hidden away using the included mounting brackets.
