Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this product be laid flat?

A: Hi, I purchased this along with the table. The plexi will ship to you flat and can be used and stored flat. Care should be taken to bend it, if used on the Manfrotto table. Be sure the plexi is at room temperature or it could snap.

Q: 2. What is the maximum size sd card this can handle?

A: The Denon Professional DN-500BD MKII Blu-ray Disc and Media Player can be used with SD cards that have a maximum capacity of 128 GB.

Q: 3. What is the part number for the white, translucent Perspex shooting surface?

A: That would be the Manfrotto Plexiglass Panel Only for Large Still Life Shooting Table (79 x 49") BH #MA220P. https://bhpho.to/3tNICDK

Q: 4. What is the lens weight

A: 1.07 lb / 485 g

Q: 5. Can I fit two tripods in here, both 38" tall, and 9" wide?

A: The Nalpak TP-1440WH 14" Tuffpak Series Hard Tripod Case with Wheels can possibly be large enough for two tripods. Best is to put your two tripods together and see if they are not any wider than 14 inches.

Q: 6. Can I use my Nikon D750 on this stand with a AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED?

A: Yes - I'm using it with a D800E. You'll have no problem with the D750. I'm considering putting a RRS Quick Release on the copy stand to make the process of mounting the camera faster.

Q: 7. How do I get the copylight onto the holder that slides onto the horizontal bars? It appears the round piece should slide all the way into the round section on the edge of the copylight and then the knob secures it, but I can't get it to go past the edge of the inside hole (if that makes any sense). Thanks for your help.

A: If you are still having an assembly problem, try to completely remove the tightening nob on horizontal bar, that may give you the clearance you need. If all else fails, try getting Tech Support at Beseler You may replacement parts. Their Number is 800-237-3537

Q: 8. Has anyone used this lens for portaits or other situations where you would care about bokeh? I know its mostly a landscape lens, but thinking of getting a 2x adapter and then using it for portraits too.

A: This lens has limited use in portraiture and is not compatible with Nikon's 2.0x teleconverter. Its focal length and f/4 aperture would also limit its ability to diffuse the background / create bokeh.

Q: 9. What size filter does the 14-30 take?

A: this lens takes 82mm filters

Q: 10. how easily will this scratch? I photogragh a lot of studio ceramics and many pieces have sharp edges.

A: Plexiglass can be scratched by sharp edges.

Small, light and sharp along with a great wide angle range.

Have only used it one day but my copy does not seem to have a severe vignette issue. Only very slightly, I think it is quite normal.  May be my copy but I used it on my Z6.  Colour, image quality, is as good or better than my older 12-24 F2.8, or any other good quality wide-angle lens. I also love the small size and weight and also I can put a filter on it.  Recommended.

The 14-30 f4 is noticeably smaller and lighter than many other full frame ultra wide zooms and it doesnt sacrifice image quality to get there.  I previously used a 16-35 lens because it had filter threads but there were times when I wanted to go a little bit wider and the Nikon 14-30 f4 gives me the best of both worlds.  If youre using this lens at 14mm and you want the extreme corners sharp then you might want to stop down one or two stops but that isnt necessary at most other focal lengths.  In general this lens is sharp from edge to edge, handles flare exceptionally well and just has a really great balance of overall image quality.   The build quality is very good too and is probably better than it appears when looking at pictures of the lens.  There are a number of really good ultra wide zooms introduced in the last few years and I believe this lens plays in the same neighborhood while having the benefit of being smaller, lighter, great focal range and has filter threads.   Great lens!

I would emphasize little because it is a powerful UWA in a much smaller package than the F-mount 14-24 f2.8.

Being easier to lug about and not needing oversized, heavier filter systems means it will be available all the time instead of being left behind due to weight and bulk.

Being able to bring selected items into the frame while maintaining a broad perspective give you more creative options.

Sharp as a tack, corner to corner. I was suprised at how great my images looked with this lens. F-4 aperture not a prob;em ona Z6. Was able to shoot Milky Way down to 20 and 800 ISO. Downtown architecture was a breeze. Thius lens is a real performer.
