A: I've used the front for manual white balance, it works well. (Depending on your camera)But no, the back has a bunch of info, branding, a light spectrum guide, ect. Actually, I just looked at it closely, and the back is a different color. It appears the certified grey side is actually adhered to a sturdy light grey plastic layer.

I just bought my second of these cards after misplacing the one I've been using for several years. It's great - wallet sized (the size of a business card), it's portable, sturdy, and comes in a little protective tyvek carrying sleeve. I use it primarily to set a custom white balance prior to shooting art - but also start out with a shot of it at the beginning of every batch of shots in case I need to adjust further in the computer after the shoots. Pro tip: Don't put it on the ground when you're shooting in the woods. It's easier to lose track of in the leaves! ;) 5

This light gray card is exactly what one needs to quickly photography it in the same light as falling on the subject then use the camera computer to generate a custom white balance correction. It has a focusing target in the center of the card so the camera lens can use it to focus the lens when the camera is set at auto-focus. It is not necessary to completely fill the viewfinder screen with the card image rather use the camera spot metering mode which restricts the area being metered to satisfy the camera required exposure area. It an inexpensive, quite handy, fast to use and very accurate way to get the best color correction possible, far better than using auto-WB or the camera lighting condition presets. 5

once you start using the card you realize the colours are far more accurate to what the eye sees. i use it all the time to set the white balance of the camera i also love that it is not paper stock but plastic - very durable 5

I can't manually do a white balance on myself, since I'm on the other side of the camera, so I keep this in my pocket and record it under my chin at the beginning of a scene. I then use the eye dropper tool in Premiere Pro's Lumetri color panel to get a white balance off of the card in post. So far it works great for this! 5

This device is a very handy and accurate way to create a custom white balance file. It is very portable and handy to retrieve in an instant to photograph in the same light quality that falls on the subject. The target area allows the auto focus system to key on to focus the lens and take the shot. You do not have to fill the viewfinder with the card image if you switch the exposure mode to spot metering and center the image in the. I recommend this card to everyone for accurate color correction. 5

When you are out shooting take a picture of this card and then you can set your white balance properly when you process your photos. (Lightroom and probably other software.) A friend of mine has one and I was amazed at how well it works. I bought one immediately. I have it clipped to my camera strap. What is not so great: I had to buy the small clip (carbiner) myself. It should have been included. Otherwise I love it! 5
