Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I need to travel with this lighting kit. What are the reviews checking kit on an airline? I worry about the risks

A: Being that this kit has a hard case for air travel, it can easily/safety be stored below a plane. However, you cannot pack V mount batteries in the same case, but rather they need to be carried on. It is always best to check the particular airline you're using for any restrictions that might apply.

Q: 2. has anyone converted the foot-candles into watts? My calculation comes out to 425c = 6.841 Watts, which sounds wrong!

A: I believe its the equivalent to 2K tungsten light.

Q: 3. Is 3 C+ stands the maximum you can get in this case?

A: The following unit will support 3 units at a time anything more would make the unit to heavy and difficult to travel with.

Q: 4. CRI?

A: According to Litepanels, they estimate the CRI of this unit to be in the range of 90-93.

Q: 5. Will this case fit 2 matthews mini boom arms as well as everything else in the kit?

A: Adding two Matthews Mini Booms would have a tight fit.

Q: 6. What case comes with this set? I saw that the 3-panel kit had the iM2975 but I don't imagine they have the same case.

A: The case included with this kit would be a Pelican iM2750.

Q: 7. Is the model flood or spot?

A: The Astra 1x1 E Daylight has a flood beam angle.

Q: 8. What's the weight of the whole package Bag + C-stands ?

A: The bag itself is 24 lbs, each of the stands are 11 lbs, for a total of 57 lbs.

Q: 9. Any specs for this unit? I see nothing..

A: Until the web team is able to write up the description all information can be found here:a href= http://www.litepanels.com/astra_1x1_bicolor.php target= _blank http://www.litepanels.com/astra_1x1_bicolor.php/a

Q: 10. Which version of the Astra Bi-Color line is this Astra Soft based on, before diffusion, LED power wise? Or is it unique? The E version (Same Power of Original 1x1), the EP version (2x Power of Original 1x1), or the newest unlabeled version that is 4x Power of Original 1x1 version? And why are the specs the lowest, the price the highest, despite the model being the newest? Is that all diffusion? Which is of course needed no matter what...

A: The Astra Soft Bi-Color is using and powering the same LEDs as the unlabeled 4x power Astra 1x1 Bi-Color. Because there is a medium diffusion built in to the front of these LEDs, the light has a wider beam angle (90) in contrast to the the 4x Astra that is throwing the illumination further with a tighter beam angle (45)
