The MIOPS Camera Trigger is a versatile way to capture images using lightning, sound, or laser to trigger your camera or flash. It features six different modes of operation with adjustable sensitivity depending on your given shooting situation.

In addition to the lightning, sound, laser, timelapse, and HDR modes enable additional creative output. An external port can connect to various sensors to trigger your camera based on variables such as temperature, pressure, or humidity. An app for either iOS or Android allows you to control the MIOPS from your smartphone using Bluetooth connectivity. When not using a smartphone, all functions can be controlled by a color LCD screen on the unit.

A built-in light sensor detects changes in light and triggers your camera's shutter in just a few nanoseconds. You can capture only bright lightning strikes, or the smallest strikes, simply by adjusting the sensitivity. This mode can also be used to capture fireworks, or other events where you need to capture images based on changes in light.

The MIOPS has a built-in sensor to detect when a laser beam is broken, thereby triggering your camera's shutter. This is useful for detecting subjects such as water drops, animals, or intruders when conducting surveillance.

MIOPS's built-in microphone can detect sound, triggering your camera or flash to capture things like breaking glass, or a popping balloon. You can adjust the delay of the trigger as well as the sensitivity of amount of sound needed to trigger the shutter.

This mode lets you specify the interval time anywhere between one second and one hour, as well as how many photos to take. The LCD screen will turn off to save energy, allowing you to take a timelapse photo for days, or even months if you use an external power source.

Even if your camera doesn't have a bracketing feature, MIOPS allows you to set a center exposure, as well as the over and under exposures needed in order to make an HDR image.

A port on the MIOPS can accept any external trigger that has an output signal between 0V and 3V, such as a temperature, pressure, or humidity sensor.

You can combine sensors with MIOPS's Scenario feature by creating a custom scenarios with up to five different steps. For example, you can set the MIOPS to start taking timelapse photos only after it detects lightning.

MIOPS has two dedicated outputs, one for a flash, and another for a camera. They are electrically isolated from each other, reducing risk of a short circuit. The MIOPS trigger can be used with multiple cameras (not simultaneously) by simply changing the camera connection cable.

The mini-USB port allows you to charge your Li-ion battery, as well as update the MIOPS's firmware.

MIOPS can be used with any cameras which have a remote shutter trigger port or an IR port, and any and flash units with a PC sync jack.

I have used this many times and it has never failed me. The battery alone lasts for quite a while, it does take some time to get used to and get adapted to it but once you’ve got everything figured out it’s an awesome tool. I use this for all my major storms and even for taking pictures of high speed vehicles at racing events. The app could use some improvement otherwise it’s pretty flawless .

i ordered the Pluto trigger and couldn't get it to connect with my iphone Xs. so maybe it was a great product or maybe not, but it was useless to me. so i returned it and ordered the Miops, and it connected easily, the app was simple to use, and everything worked as advertised as far as i can tell. the only thing i couldn't test so far is the lightning trigger. my flash will trigger my camera, but its so fast the shutter delay doesn't pick up any of the light. lightning lasts longer, so it should work. i like it. can't wait for some lighting to try it out on. of course, i live in los angeles, so that could be a while! in the mean time, i may try some water droplet photography.
