Keep your hands and fingers warm and dry even in the harshest conditions with these Heat 3 Smart Mittens/Gloves, in black, from The Heat Company. When you're out in the cold, conserve heat by using the outer mitten, and then when you need to do some work, get a drink, snap a selfie, or perform any task that requires dexterity, just fold the mitten and thumb back to expose your liner-gloved fingers. The integrated inner lining allows full use of your hands, yet still helps keep your fingers warm.

Your first layer of protection from the elements is a wind- and water-resistant mitten shell with Primaloft Gold synthetic down insulation. The back of the mitten has a zippered pocket that can hold a disposable hand warmer, your car keys, a credit card, or cash. The palm is reinforced with soft and durable goatskin which is naturally water and wear resistant. Extra-long cuffs with drawstrings keep heat in and snow or wind out. When it's time to get to work, flaps on the fingers and thumb fold back and are held out of the way with simple magnets. Heat 3 Smart built-in glove liners are located beneath the flaps, featuring synthetic fabric that is breathable and wicks moisture away from your skin. Even when wet, the liner's insulation properties protect your fingertips from cold. For added usability the thumb, fore, and middle fingers have special material on the tips that allow you to use the touchscreen on your phone, camera, or sports watch.

Q: 1. i want to use this with eos r6 + 24-70/2.8, 50/2.0, 70-200/2.8, do i need to go to heavier BH-40? Weight is my main concern.

A: The BH40 is quite a bit easier to use than the BH30 due to its tension knob, making it so when you use your 70-200 you can make it feel tighter rather than too loose or floppy. The weight difference between the heads is roughly 6 oz (11.1 versus 17.1), which isn't significant, but the size difference is quite noticeable.

Q: 2. Can this be use on Robus RC-5570 Vantage Series 3 Carbon Fiber Tripod ?

A: Yes, it is compatible with the Robus 5570.

Q: 3. Was given this and don't have the paperwork. Do you have to install anything for the USB adapter to work or just plug it in? ?

A: This wireless USB Adapter requires you to install a driver. It's not a Plug and Play solution. You can download the driver for EW-7722UTN V2 in the manufacture website and the manual, for further guidelines and assistance.

Q: 4. Would this head be compatible with an Arca Swiss Kirk L bracket?

A: Yes.

Q: 5. I am really confused as to what is needed to use this ballhead. I just bought the tripod, about to purchase a ballhead_but it doesnt come with a camera mounting plate? I look for wat I think is a mounting plate to use with my R5 and I'm not sure what I am looking at and what I am looking for. Can't find anything on the website that resembles other sites for comparison. Help

A: RRS heads do not come with plates, and they primarily recommend dedicated plates that fit your camera exactly that work with the BH55, such as these ones: https://bhpho.to/2T8XHjW https://bhpho.to/3rNsilf

Q: 6. Can the head be changed ?

A: Unfortunately, the JOBY RangePod Smart Tripod does not offer a removable head.

Q: 7. Screw versus lever release - comparing durability, security, and ease of use. Wondering which bh-40 to get. I've only had lever release heads before and while theoretically they're quick release, I've had them "stick" on me. As I'm getting this head for my heaviest, most expensive gear, I'm in some ways more interested in what clamp style keeps that gear from falling OFF the head than in being able to get the gear off the head fast. Any thoughts from experienced users who have used both clamp types?

A: While I have only examined and not used these outstandingly designed and manufactured ball heads, the fact is I was a motion picture camera assistant who mounted $500,000 movie cameras in precarious positions, and therefore I do have an opinion. The knob/lever decision comes down to exactly the point you elucidate, to wit: security vs. convenience. If you require 100% security assurance, get the knob. If you can live with 99% assurance, get the lever.

Q: 8. Hello, I tried several brands/converters described as able to support 3G sources ad 1080p50 and 60 but still not found it one really able to do it under 100 USD, is this able to do it for real? Thanks!

A: Yes this is able to support 3G sources at 1080 50/60p. however if you have tried multiple products and they have all failed to achieve the task you may need to reexamine or double check the other components in your set up. Cabling for example is often overlooked as a source of a problem. In many instances the cabling looks fine from the outside but has a pinch or short on the inside that prevents the signal from reaching its destination. This product should work for your needs therefore if you continue to have problems take some time to do additional troubleshooting and give us a call if you need additional tips or assistance.

Q: 9. Will this ball head work with the Peak Design Capture plate?

A: Yes.

Q: 10. What is CCT? I see it on the back of the unit. What does it do? What is its intention?

A: The label CCT on the back of the Godox LED6Bi Litemons light allows you to adjust the color temperature of the light. You can adjust the color temperature in the range from 3200 to 6500K (in 9 steps)

Fabulous design for photographers that are working in cold weather. The thumb and index fingers fold back and stay in place by the placement of magnets. They run a bit small so I had to order medium although I always wear small

The gloves are made well so they should last.  They are warm and comfortable.  It is very nice finally to be able to purchase
photographic equipment that is made for women instead of having
to buy mens extra small sizes.

Used these for the first time yesterday and really liked them. I order a size larger based on reviews and they fit nicely.
