Q: 5. Should I go for this or arturia minilab Does they have the same features

A: If you are seeking a MIDI keyboard to pair with FL Studio, the Novation FLkey 37 USB MIDI Keyboard Controller for FL Studio is a top recommendation, as it has a feature set designed to integrate seamlessly with FL Studio's interface. For general comparison, the FLkey 37 has more keys and pads than the Minilab, but the Minilab has more rotary encoders. The FLkey has wheels for Pitch and Modulation functionality where the Minilab has touch sensors.

A: As per the manual and their website, there does not seem to be any required drivers for this controller.

A: In the menu, you should see a 'VEL CURVE' setting that you can select and adjust the velocity on the keys as needed.

A: Yes, the Korg microKEY AIR-49 is now compatible for MIDI to work wirelessly with a PC that is equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 and Windows 8.1 or later or with a USB adapter that supports Bluetooth 4.0 Smart. Q: 10. Can this be used to replace an Auturia controller (like a Minilab) in Auturia software?

A: Arturia Software Instruments are compatible with all midi controllers, so the Nektar Technology Impact LX49+ 49-Key USB MIDI Controller Keyboard will work.

I use my Novation Impulse for making basic beats in Ableton Live and Garageband. I don't have a great frame of reference, but can say that this keyboard has done everything I've expected of it and more. I'm particularly pleased with the drum pads that come with Roll and Arp settings which have allowed me to make some pretty unique rhythmic patterns I otherwise would be lost making. Finally, this keyboard is very handsome. Backlit buttons and drum pads along with a sleek design allow my modest little operation to look nearly legit. Surely not a reason to buy a keyboard, but a bonus nonetheless.

I owned a MKI Alesis V61 for a number of years and had tons of trouble dialing in the velocity curves and other technical parameters through the old software. After deciding to downscale to the MKII V25, along with the new Alesis software, I was plugged in and writing music in less than 10 minutes. The keyboard plays well with great velocity response. My only complaint is the mod and pitch wheel are a bit sensitive on Serum specifically, but it's nothing a bit of automation editing can't fix.

I bought this product with the hope that I would be able to teach myself how to use MIDI with Reason and Pro Tools. It has been incredibly helpful! It was easy to set-up, it's as easy as install the software, follow the steps, plug it in and you're good to go. The semi-weighted, pressure sensitive keys are great for me as I'm a very beginner pianist. All-in-all, I've had this board for about two weeks and already started writing a song using all the important features from the pads to the faders to the keys. Just a great tool for the amateur and beginner songwriter

This is a composing tool mainly so I use it in a simple fashion. I bought the Impulse 49 for its keyboard action and it is worth every cent. Installation took a couple minutes downloading the drivers. Worked with Sibelius 7 instantly. Great service from B & H as always. Don't forget to get a case and a cover and a stand.

The Samson Graphite 49 works splendidly as a keyboard controller for most DAWs, but I'm using it live with an iPad App called B3X. It is the best Hammond B-3 simulation I've ever heard. The Graphite's 9 sliders have a drawbar mode which essentially reverses the direction (i.e; pulling down makes the response louder), and the learning/setup mode makes programming a breeze. Along with my Samson Carbon 61 I now have a dual manual portable rig that sounds like the real deal.

The attached photo could be an advertisement for B&H: Both keyboards, the Apple Mini 5, and the Auray tablet holder came from here. What a store.........

I bought this controller to replace my LX mini which was ok for its sit and controlling features but a hassle to cover 3and 4 octaves . The 49 is great for controlling Studio One 6 pro i. It’s layers of control are well thought out and the footprint is 31.5 long so not bad. I like that I don’t have to press the octave button 3 or 4 times to use the full range of some of my Instrument Libraries. I am not a keyboard player and use this for writing and controlling software and it does that very well. The keyboard bed is better than the mini but still not on par with my Roland A500 Pro but like I said I don’t play keyboard well and the 49 is good enough for me and not bad.
