Q: 1. Is this compatible with the UA844SWB antenna distribution system?

A: Yes, the PA805SWB antenna is compatible for use with the UA844SWB antenna distribution system.

Q: 2. Can you combine IEM and IFB RF signals of different output strengths? For instance I have a Lectrosonics M2T that has two output carriers of 50mw each. and a Lectrosonics T4 IFB transmitter that outputs 250mw. Can I combine them all with this to a single antenna?

A: It is possible to use transmitters with different power output levels with the RF Venue COMBINE4 - 4-Channel Antenna Combiner. This combiner is a unity device that does not affect or change the output strength of the transmitters connected. It does, however, have a maximum input level of 100mW and would not be compatible for use with a transmitter pushing 250mW such as the Lectrosonics IFBT4.

Q: 3. Can I feed one program line into this and a second one for cueing, etc?

A: Yes, the Shure P3T Wireless Transmitter for PSM300 allows for two channels of audio input as well as the ability to create a personal mix on each bodypack with adjustable stereo balance or MixMode® two-channel mono blend.

Q: 5. Do these support encryption from Axient or ULX-D transmitters?

A: No, the Shure P3RA Wireless Bodypack Receiver for PSM300 System is designed for use with the Shure P3T Transmitter. It will not receive audio or encryption from the Shure Axient or ULX-D series transmitters.

Q: 6. Does this receiver work with Shure SLX1 518-542MHz?

A: This receiver is the P3R. Designed to operate with the PSM300 monitoring system only . If you are interested in a portable receiver to operate with the SLX transmitters, the FP series receiver is compatible when purchased in the proper frequency range.

Q: 7. The unit says this is good for 470-698 MHz. The headline says 470-900. Please, what is correct?

A: The Shure UA874WB Wideband Active Directional Antenna (470 to 900 MHz), BH # SHUA874WB, is designed for UHF signal reception extending from 470 to 900 MHz.This is also documented in the user guide. Please note the "WB" (Wide Band) designation on page 3/4: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/1096710.pdf

Q: 8. do I need one or tow of these?

A: This would depend on whether your specific application calls for a diversity or non-diversity wireless system and what kind of coverage is needed. In many circumstances however, using two is most common.

Q: 9. Is this compatible with the RF Venue COMBINE8 system?

A: Yes, the Shure PA805SWB Directional Antenna can be used with the RF Venue COMBINE8 8-Channel IEM Transmitter Combiner.

Q: 10. Are these made for permanent outdoor use?

A: No, the Shure UA874 Active Directional Antenna is not designed or rated to be installed outdoors. Shure recommends an antenna such as the Winegard Elite 7550 Amplified Outdoor/Attic HDTV Antenna (BH #WIWE7550A) as an alternative for use in permanent outdoor situations: https://bit.ly/3HWHJOA

I bought this antenna in hopes that it would solve a signal drop out problem in a church sanctuary. Installed just before Christmas services and we have not had a drop off in four months of use. Problem solved, and install was super easy- mounted it on a boom mic stand. Thanks B&H and Shure!

Since installing this we have not had any of our wireless mice drop out. We used individual antennas before and its nice to have just the one antenna up and out of the booth and get way better performance

We purchased two of these to help remedy signal drop out from our new SHURE wireless systems. We had installed the mics in the same rack that the old ones came out of, but we had very low and even loss of total signal during our first two uses. After purchasing and installing these, we have had nothing but full signal and we could not be happier. These worked like magic!

This antenna has solved our Shure BLX audio drop out issues. It is a bit pricey but has solved our random drop out issues which have plagued us for a while.
