I own 12 backpacks and I've bought 8 of them with the intention to travel. Needless to say, I feel like somewhat of a snob in the realm of backpacks. I wish I would have stumbled on this bag two years ago because I bought something very similar that cost me almost 5 times what this bag costs.

Here's what I LOVE about this bag...
- Although this bag is very affordable, it does not look or feel cheap.
- The water resistant zipper reflective strips on the back look great and are functional.
- While the material is not Cordura - it feels very strong and durable.
- The 180 degree main zippered compartment means you can lay the bag flat and organize comfortably.
- The 17in laptop compartment is a plus. I'm able to fit my16in laptop w/ sleeve and my 12in ipad in the laptop compartment. There is even a little space left over if I wanted to add a few magazines or a book.
- By far my favorite feature of this bag is the trolley strap. If you travel as much as I do you know that having the option to NOT carry a backpack on your shoulders can be very helpful especially if the backpack has more than one laptop plus all the extra items. I think this feature is what makes this bag extremely invaluable given that most slim backpacks do NOT offer this option.

The only thing I don't like about this bag is the
USB Passthrough Port. It works and it's not in the way, I've just never used these ports and find them to be rather useless. They look cute, but i've never seen anyone utilize the USB port (especially while wearing a backpack).

I highly Recommend this bag. At its retail price I doubt you will find anything this good.

Well-designed and well-made backpack for a 17 laptop. In addition, there is enough space to carry some personal stuff for a overnight trip.

The Ruggard 17-inch Slim backpack is an affordable durable backpack option.


In the main laptop compartment I keep my macbook pro 16 inch and my Ipad mini with space to spare. Once the laptop is in there is a decent amount of extra space available.


The next pocket opens up like an alligator mouth which I really like as an option and makes it easier to pack up quickly. There is a strap for clothing and on the opposite side two zipper pockets and 3 stitched-in open pockets. I keep chargers and small hard drives in these.


The two pockets in the front are surprisingly large as well. I keep my larger cable bag in the full-length pocket with no problem.


One of the coolest features of this bag is the USB port on the outside of the bag. You can put a charger on the inside and then just plug your cord in on the outside and you are charging. It's nice to not have to open the bag and dig through stuff just to get access to a charger.


I just took this on a trip and didn't have any comfort issues wearing it for several hours at a time loaded with gear and clothes.


This little bag is pretty awesome.

This a fantastic laptop backpack for travel or everyday life. It has a ton of space for storage and is padded for protection. It comes with a bunch of interior pouches and pockets to store accessories or anything else you want to tuck away. Along with all the smaller pockets, it has 2 main compartments, one to store your laptop and one with garment straps to store clothes. The compartment for clothing can fully unzip so you have access to the whole area when packing or unpacking. This makes things very convenient. The build quality of this bag is fantastic. The material used is thick and strong but still light and not heavy. It is made with quality zippers and the seams and stitching seem very strong. The shoulder straps are padded and comfortable to wear even when the bag is full loaded. They do not dig into your shoulders, they feel great. The weight distribution is also well thought out and comfortable. I also love the look of it. The black color and reflective strips look cool. The bag comes with a USB pass though port so you can attach a portable charger and plug in your phone or other electrical device and charge it without having to open the bag. That is a nice addition and well designed. I'm very impressed with this laptop backpack. This bag is well made, well designed, comfortable to wear and looks good. I like it a lot. This is a “full quality” rugged, light bag, strong zippers, comfortable straps, plus it looks better that 95% of the backpacks you see around you anywhere! Strong, ample and a perfect “second unit” for the laptop, the tablet, and all the accessories.

This is an amazing bag. I’ve been eyeing it up since it debuted at CES. It’s extremly well made. The color is like a soft Tanish-grey. It fits my surface laptop and gear perfectly. I also took it on vacation and it perfectly fit my DSLR as well. Excellent purchase. Wish I bought it sooner!
