The RDF9 UHS-II Card Reader is here to unleash the high-speed performance of a UHS-II SD card, transferring high resolution raw images and HD videos to your computer quickly. In addition, it is backward compatible with UHS-I and any other SDXC, SDHC, and SD cards.

Taking full advantage of USB 3.1 and UHS-II technology, the read and write speeds of the RDF9 are up to 260 MB/s and 190 MB/s, respectively.

High speed boosts your workflow and efficiency. The RDF9 lets professional photographers, videographers, and graphic designers transfer data, including high-resolution video and raw images at high speeds, accelerating post-production processing.

Besides the SD card slot, the multi-functional RDF9 also has CompactFlash and microSD card slots, allowing you to transfer different types of digital files with one compact card reader.

Transcend's RDF9 card reader includes a free download of their RecoveRx software, a user-friendly application that allows you to conduct an in-depth search within your storage device for traces of erased data that can be recovered.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will these cards work recording 4K video at 400mpbs on gh5?

A: Yes sir! 400mbps can be translated to MB/s by simply dividing by 8. So, 400mbps divided by 8 = 50MB/s. This tells us that you need a card which will always write at least 50MB/s in order to sustain the highest 4K recording capabilities of the GH5. Now, since this Transcend card is rated as V90, that means it will always write at least 90MB/s...however...it is labeled to go as high as 185MB/s. Long story short, you've got room to spare on this card my friend!

Q: 2. Can two card slots be used at once--e.g. to transfer data between cards?

A: Yes you will be able to transfer data between cards in the reader.

Q: 3. I was given this reader as a gift, but when using it with my late 2013 mac pro and uhs-II cards or cards in general it is very slow. In fact my old non uhs-II reader is faster. Is there a solution for this?

A: Currently, using USB 3.1 cables and ports and UHS-II SD memory cards, is one of the fastest ways to transfer photos available. It is likely that your computer does not have USB 3.1 ports available so these high speeds will be slowed by the much slower computer and ports being used. Whichever is the slowest link in the chain will throttle all of the others to its speed.

Q: 4. How long is the cable on this?

A: the cable is 1.5 ft. you can buy longer ones

Q: 5. Does the reader have a push-to-eject mechanism like those card slots in cameras?

A: Sony UHS-II SD Memory Card Reader does not have a push ejection button. You just need to eject the card on your PC/MAC and pull the card or card reader out.

Q: 6. will this device read first generation CF cards?

A: Unfortunately, the Transcend CFast 2.0 Card Reader is not compatible with Compact Flash memory cards.

Q: 7. Does this reader come with a USB 3.0 cable or do I have to order one separately?

A: Yes it does come with a USB 3.0 cable

Q: 8. Can this Card Reader be used with Panasonic P2 Cards?

A: No , a P2 card reader is needed Please review the following item https://bhpho.to/3a4whQS

Q: 9. Does this card reader get hot during transfer?

A: Card readers including the Transcend RDF9 UHS II can get warm when transferring a lot of information quickly. It will not get hot enough to cause an issue with a card.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with Windows 10 OS?

A: Yes, the Transcend RDF9 UHS-II Card Reader is compatible with Windows 10.

I wasn't sure this card would work well with a "less than usb3, but it did. It downloaded my card that usually takes 11 minutes to download in about 2. Works great, the cable is short but adequate

For me, writing reviews is like free marketing for companies and I ignore the request. This time I want speak on behalf of this product. Windows 10 stopped reading my SD cards from my older Kingston card reader. CF cards it read, but not the SD. I looked on YouTube and every forum to find an answer, nothing. I ordered the Transcend because it was inexpensive and I was frustrated. It worked. It worked wonderfully. My problem was gone. I don't know why but I don't care, this unit solved a two year old frustration. I just want everyone to know this. It is was very much worth it to me.

Replaced a failing reader that was not UHS-II capable. Upload speed with the UHS-II SD cards is much faster.
