Q: 1. What is the best filter to use to get full IR results?

A: Kodak used to make a great film called Kodak High Speed Infrared. Using a 25 A red or 87 infra red filter you could get beautiful white leaves on the trees without setting the ISO that low. The Rollei is nice film, but it's not high speed. A #87 filter will give you the most infrared look, but the ISO for the meter readings should be around 25, if not lower. Shoot a test roll and develop it and make sure to bracket at least a full stop in either direction.

Q: 2. Where do you send it for processing? Does it get processed as B&W film?

A: Definitely can develop as BW... I process the BW but I would vouch for The Darkroom Lab if you have anything complex or want high quality

Q: 3. Will the outcome with a Lee #87 be comparable to a screw on r72 filter (Lee better with multiple lenses)?

A: Yes, I believe the 72 filter is just as good to use as the 87 filter. I hope that helps.

Q: 4. Can this film be developed in Ilford ILFOTEC DD-X Developer? What is the developing time using the Ilford ILFOTEC DD-X Developer? any recomendations?

A: Hi Ali,So far I have only used Kodak D-76 (1:1), I have been delighted with my results..I don't know if ILFOTEC DD-X compares with D-76.Good Luck enjoy the Film!!!

Q: 5. How would exposure & auto-metering be affected if used with a 720 nm filter over a flash head?

A: The exposure would be cut down by quite a bit. It doesn't make sense to shoot in auto. You will have to shoot in manual mode and test by trial and error

Q: 6. Given that this film is less sensitive to IR light than visible light, what ASA should it be shot at for infrared photography?

A: It depends on the filter you use with the Rollei Infrared 400 Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures). Some say, exposing the film at a maximum of ISO 25 and using an R72 dark red infrared filter or deeper infrared filter. Note it takes experimentation and trial and error

Q: 7. Is this film sensitive to the wavelenhth at Hydrogen Alpha (656.281 nm) what are its reciprocity characteristics and is it generally useful for astrophotography?

A: Rollei INFRARED has an infrared range of (650 – 750nm). According to Rollei, the reciprocity is 1.43. IR film needs IR light which is more available during the day. Shooting it at night would be experimental.

      Q: 8. Can the 3L bag hold a Canon R8 with the RF 50mm f/1.8 lens attached?

A: we would suggest the 6L bag for the following lens and camera combo. WANDRD ROAM Sling (6L, Black) BH #WASLG6BK1 • MFR #SLG6-BK-1 https://bhpho.to/41TAXls

Q: 9. I am thinking on upgrading to this from my older module, my question is, can i get any kind of switching tailcap for the leftover module if i upgrade?

A: Unfortunately there is no accessory tail cap available.

Q: 10. Does this light screw into a HK or Surefire foregrip for an MP 5

      A: It's for a SureFire LM2 6 VDC LED Conversion Head for 600 & 900 Series Forend Lights.
