The TL-85C Carbon Fiber Tripod Kit from Fotopro is 5-section support with a load capacity of 66.1 lb that can maintain large telephoto lens and camera setups with ease. The 4.8 lb tripod has a twist leg lock system, which you can disengage and extend to the legs' maximum height of 53.5". With its independent leg spread, the tripod can conform to uneven terrain. The rubber feet prevent the tripod from sliding on smooth surfaces, and the feet are removable, revealing spikes to further stabilize the support on softer terrain. Splaying its legs all the way out, the support can go as low as 4.3" and enables you to do macro photography. The tripod folds to 18.7", so you can travel with it easily to your next destination. This kit also includes a 100mm bowl, a center column and platform, and a carrying case.

Q: 4. Does the gimbal head, collapsable? or stay in that L shape 90 degree way, kind of hard to bag for travel?

A: In the Fotopro E7 Carbon Fiber Tripod with Gimbal Head you can remove the cradle that holds the camera from the gimbal. Will make it easier to pack it in a bag.

A: While this is primarily intended for use as a travel tripod, it might serve most photographers in other areas depending on what functions are required. My tripods were starting to become like my shoes.....so many, yet none a true favorite. The sturdy ones ate up room and weight allowance in my suitcase and the smaller, lighter ones couldn't hold the weight of my DSLR and bigger lens! Enter the MeFOTO GlobeTrotter Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod WITH ball head. PERFECT for packing in my case and gives me all the stability I need. No more lagging long exposure shots! I would definitely recommend this tripod!

I've been using this tripod for a month now, and in tough conditions (wind, direct, hot sunshine, and even in rain. The rig is made of very solid materials that work exactly as designed. I don't even notice it in my luggage, and my wife carries it up and down hiking trails and urban streets with no complaints about weight. For the money this is your winner.

Great tripod for travel, it fits in most check-on and some carry-on luggage. it's weight is also a big plus. For it's size it is very sturdy. It's great with my Nikon D-810 with an 80-400 zoom lens. I purchased it to replace my Manfrotto 055 carbon fiber tripod. The only thing that I didn't like were the feet, having to remove the rubber feet to install the spiked feet. One thing to purchase extra with the tripod is the Gitzo rubber/spiked feet. They add a little more stability to the legs depending on the surface

Yeah, there are $ - $ travel tripods. But there's no way I can justify them. Maybe if I was a professional wildlife photographer; but not just for a hobby where no expenses are deductible business expenses. Soooo, I studied tripods I could afford. The Manfrotto looks really good, but is only rated at 8.8 pounds. Although my 6D and 400mm lens don't weigh that much, the combination is really close. The FeFOTO seemed like the logical choice. Bought it from B&H; it was here in like 3 days. It's really a strong tripod . . . better than any I've ever had before. I folds down small and will fit in my motorcycle saddlebag or tourpac perfectly. I think I'm going to be very happy with this tripod.

I used this tripod for the first time yesterday, and I absolutely love it! It's sturdy, but light enough for photographers on the go. I decided to purchase the Globetrotter Carbo Fiber Model rather than the slightly-lighter RoadTrip Carbon Fiber Model because the head was a little beefier, and I wanted to make sure that I didn't have any issues with the weight of my Nikon D800E together with the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8. This tripod did not disappoint. All of the adjustment and leg-locking knobs are very smooth, and comfortable to use. I think it's a great value for the price. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

I learned about this product while researching camera bags for my Sony A7rii. I do a lot of traveling for work, and having something this small and light is perfect for my jet-setting ways. Its great for nature photography and, truthfully, I use it for the static shot on my green screen and corporate video interviews. The size and weight save me from having to bring my large video tripods on the plane. At first, i thought this was a little pricey, but in the end, i think its totally worth it!

Haven't used too much yet, but super impressed with how small it packs down to. Incredibly lightweight and had no trouble supporting my camera with sigma 150-600 sport attached.
