You would probably wish to cut/add the foam to be more form-fitting since the camcorders it is meant for are differently shaped. The BMD Mini has a similar form factor to the FS5. Since the Mini is larger, you probably will wish to add foam. That being said a 15 will be pretty snug and does not provide a lot of protection where the strap holds the laptop into position.
