The aluminum PC-D850-UP2 Nikon D850 Camera Plate from Photo Clam has an Arca-type-compatible dovetail mount on the bottom and anti-twist flanges on the top to prevent the camera from moving while mounted to the plate. The plate mounts to the camera body via its 1/4"-20 threaded camera mount, and strap lugs are machined on either side to attach a wrist, neck, or shoulder strap.

A: Metz makes a great flash for Nikon TTL with a 24GN, which is good enough for most situations. All built-in falshes on Nikons are GN12, There are larger Metz and look at the Bolt flashes at B&H or any other for under $89. They are just as good and much cheaper than the camera brands.

A: The camera's 3.5mm audio input only offers one channel. If you have 2 speakers with independent mics you can use a mixer and adjust the volume level in Real-time recording. If you need independent channels you need an audio recorder instead.

Q: 8. The D850 ships with the EN-EL15a battery. Will my EN-EL15 batteries work in the D850? What features will not work properly if I use the EN-EL15 batteries in the D850?

A: The EN-EL15A has a slightly higher capacity. No features of the camera will be impacted.

Q: 9. How long did it take to receive the camera after ordering? I want one by March when I visit India for Holi(festival of Color)

I bought this camera to replace my old 810 mainly for birding. After about a month of use, I am quite happy with the it on the following: 1. Focus speed is improved significantly for small birds compared with 810. It identifies the moving birds extremely well. 2. Continuous shooting speed is much higher, so it helps a lot in catching right moments. To my big surprise. For large birds, it does not seem to have much improvement over 810. It still loses focus from time to time. Of course, I am not an expert, so may not have everything set in best ways. 5

My husband hates it, but I am constantly trying out new equipment. I loved my D750 but when mirrorless came out, I had to have it. So I traded the D750. I had the D500 as a backup camera but was not sold on the DX format. So, I traded it for the D850. So far, I love it and its features. I love that B&H staff are so knowledgeable about the equipment they sell. 5

My initial reaction was, wow so many functions to choose and making those choices quickly while on the go seemed overwhelming. After reading the manual and spending time with the camera learning how to make every adjustment, it all became very straight forward. Operating the camera easily is facilitated by the vast array of buttons and a clear set of instructions. It is all natural now. 5

Nikon, you rock, -- Out of 7 Nikons in the last 40 some years , Only one has had to B sent out 4 repair !!!- Look so 4ward 2 givin this next new Nikon a run 4 it's $$$ Please don't disappoint me!! I regard a Nikon body w/ Tonka Trucks that I played w/ so long ago !! 5

When I saw my first photo from the 850 I out loud exclaimed, Wow! The detail with this camera is phenomenal. Meets and exceeds both the expectations and the reputation of this classic camera. Having said that, it is forcing me to become a better photographer because it reveals all my weaknesses. I may not reach professional standards but I've already become a better photographer with and because of this camera. Can I give it 6 stars? 5

Upgraded to this D850 and can say I'm not disappointed one bit. Great features and am enjoying the higher resolution and a higher fps rate. 5
