Q: 1. What is the best filter to use to get full IR results?

A: Kodak used to make a great film called Kodak High Speed Infrared. Using a 25 A red or 87 infra red filter you could get beautiful white leaves on the trees without setting the ISO that low. The Rollei is nice film, but it's not high speed. A #87 filter will give you the most infrared look, but the ISO for the meter readings should be around 25, if not lower. Shoot a test roll and develop it and make sure to bracket at least a full stop in either direction.

Q: 2. Are the front filter threads reversed, like they are on the camera?

A: The front threads on the TCL-X100 II are able to accept a filter in front easily.

Q: 3. Has anyone out there worked with the old (discontinued) Kodak B&W infra red? I used to shoot it a lot back in the day and am wondering how this compares to it?

A: The Rollei Infrared 400 Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) is different than the old Kodak IR film. Unlike IR film the films today like this are sensitive to IR light. So, they do not have the full effect like IR film did. but it does give a good look like IR film.

Q: 4. Is this lens also compatible with x100VI?

A: Yes, the FUJIFILM X100VI Digital Camera is compatible with the FUJIFILM TCL-X100 II Tele Conversion Lens.

Q: 5. How much it weighs? The spec give package weight only. Does it have electronic components, or glass only?

A: Glass only. There are no electronics. The lens threads onto the existing fixed lens.Weight? Perhaps 6-8 Oz.

Q: 6. Can you put a polarizer filter on top of converter? If so, what is the filter size of the TCL-X100 II?

A: Yes and the filter size is 67mm

Q: 7. Does the silver version match the body color of the X100V?

A: Yes, the following lens has a silver/chrome finish that matches camera body.

Q: 8. How will the new TCL and WCL X100 II conversion lenses differ from the original X100 I conversion lenses?

A: The only difference is that the X100F will automatically detect when either of the new version II conversion lenses are attached and make the necessary adjustments automatically. With older conversion lenses, you'll simply need to enable either lens manually in the Menu.

Q: 9. Can this film be developed in Ilford ILFOTEC DD-X Developer? What is the developing time using the Ilford ILFOTEC DD-X Developer? any recomendations?

A: Hi Ali,So far I have only used Kodak D-76 (1:1), I have been delighted with my results..I don't know if ILFOTEC DD-X compares with D-76.Good Luck enjoy the Film!!!

Q: 10. Is this film sensitive to the wavelenhth at Hydrogen Alpha (656.281 nm) what are its reciprocity characteristics and is it generally useful for astrophotography?

A: Rollei INFRARED has an infrared range of (650 – 750nm). According to Rollei, the reciprocity is 1.43. IR film needs IR light which is more available during the day. Shooting it at night would be experimental.
