The 8x32 Frontier ED X Binoculars from Hawke Optics feature phase-corrected and dielectric-coated BAK4 roof prisms with anti-reflection fully multi-coated extra-low-dispersion (ED) objective lenses that work together to produce a versatile and capable optic with bright and clear high-contrast images and accurate color rendition across their spacious and generous field of view. Coupled with the optical features are compact 32mm diameter objectives that straddle the line between compact and full sized to give you the performance you need without the bulk that might weigh you down as you hike the trail, climb to an observation deck, or just sightsee around the city.

Complementing the optical performance are construction details that make these binoculars durable and comfortable to use. The lightweight and durable magnesium-alloy chassis is protected by a green rubberized armor that is textured for a nonslip grip. The optical tubes are nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme changes in temperature or environmental conditions. A right-eye diopter adjustment and twist-up eyecups allow the binocular to be customized to most people's needs and can be comfortably used with or without eyewear. Protecting the objectives and eyepieces are tethered caps that come off fast for easy reaction to glassing opportunities without the possibility of losing them.

From the trail to the range to the stadium—wherever you go, the Frontier ED X binoculars are sure to be your constant companion to see what you need to see.

  • 32mm objective lenses provide adequate light-gathering capability while remaining lightweight and compact
  • BAK4 prisms deliver a round exit pupil and a crisp and clear image with limited edge distortion
  • Dielectric prism coatings boost internal surface reflectivity to greater than 99% for maximum light transmission through the prism with minimal loss and diffraction and improved contrast and clarity
  • Extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations to produce views with true color rendition without halos, diffraction, or distortion across the entire field of view
  • Phase-corrected prism coatings reduce internal interference to improve contrast, clarity, and resolution
  • Anti-reflection fully multi-coated lenses maximize light transmission for bright and clear images with accurate color rendition
  • Water-repellent exterior lens coating allows water to bead and run off to ensure clear views in inclement weather conditions
  • Wide 62° apparent angle of view presents an immersive observational experience for enjoying spacious views that require very little head movement to see sweeping vistas
  • 405-foot field of view at 1000 yards

  • Right-eye diopter adjustment enables users to compensate for optical prescription for sharper views
  • Wide 56-74mm interpupillary adjustment range allows easy use by wide variety of people
  • Twist-up click-stop eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyewear; removable and replaceable
  • Comfortable 16mm eye relief improves viewing comfort and reduces eyestrain during long glassing sessions
  • Generous 4mm exit pupil will cover most pupils as they open and dilate in low light

  • Lightweight, strong, and corrosion-resistant magnesium-alloy chassis
  • Nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme changes in temperature and environmental conditions, and IPX7-rated waterproof and submersible to a depth of 3.3' (1m) for up to 30 minutes
  • Green rubberized armor exterior protects against bumps and impacts
  • Ergonomically placed ribbed palm pads provide a nonslip, stable, and comfortable grip

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the lack of IS in this product a limitation?

A: Most of these binoculars do not have Image Stabilization. There are only a few brands who offer this setting. Since this model has a 50mm Diameter you should be fine holding it steady. Keep in mind though the more magnification it will take away that brightness factor. This model would be used for Hunting, or Stargazing.

Q: 2. What about for the Conquest HD 8x32? I don't recall being able to mount an adapter to it either and not likely to go prying on the end cap to find out without some assurance.

A: This adapter works beautifully on my Conquest HD 8x56 - I would imagine the same with your 8x32.

Q: 3. I have a Zeiss Terra ED 10x42, Can't seem able to remove the cap to find the thread, able to show how to remove the cap? probably a picture for illustration, spoke a thousand words. thanks.

A: It can be difficult to get a purchase on the knob. Try a rubber glove or even the eraser on a pencil.

Q: 4. What is the IPD for these ?

A: By opening and closing the central pivot, you can adjust the distance between the eyecups (IPD) from a minimum setting of 5.8cm, right up to a maximum of 7.4cm. For a full sized bin, this is a pretty good range and means that they should be able to accommodate most people.

Q: 5. How are the Leica 10x32 Ultravivids for people who wear glasses like me?

A: works great with glasses

Q: 6. What are the internal dimensions?

A: The interior is roughly 4.5x4.5x2 inches.

Q: 7. How much does this adapter raise the height of the binoculars?

A: The ZEISS Tripod Adapter for Conquest HD and Terra ED Binoculars will raise the binoculars by 5.2".

Q: 8. looking for a tripod adapter for 15 x 60 T Zeiss binoculars ?

A: Unfortunately there is no tripod mount on the Zeiss 15x60 T. You would need a universal tripod adapter such as this Kupo: https://bhpho.to/2TKzm24

Q: 9. Can my Zeiss ED Terra 8 X 42 be attached UPSIDE DOWN?

A: You should be able to mount the binoculars upside down. Check out the YouTube videos on the product.

Q: 10. How do I install this? Does the cap just come off to expose the threads?

A: In binoculars having threads, you first remove the cap, to expose the bino's threads. The pin threads into the bino's female, then you tighten the lever. You will need a camera plate that fits your tripod.
