The Replacement Battery Cartridge #109 from APC replaces the battery in your UPS that restores the performance to the original specifications. The battery cartridge is designed for UPS models BN1250LCD, BR1200LCDi, BR1500LCDI, BX1300LCD, and BX1500LCD. Since the UPS models are hot-swappable, no network downtime is required to install them. Moreover, the battery provides a capacity of 9 VAh and has a 3 to 5 year expected battery life. Included along with the battery are the required connectors.

A: APC's web site says replacement batteries include: "Prepaid postage to a nearby recycling partner (availability varies by country) Insures that almost 100% of the old battery is recycled, protecting the environment." Not clear if batteries purchased from B&H include the recycling pre-paid postage.

Q: 10. is this compatible with the BE550G?

A: I was able to make it work but the size is a little different.

The original battery on my UPS died (had a leak, even), so i ordered this replacement and i was impressed: it came very well boxed, was extremely easy to install, and worked flawlessly since i put it in place. Having instructions (and re-using packaging) for the old battery is a great touch, too. :) If only everything in life was that easy and efficient... 5

I use a total of four APC ups units. Three are small and one is a 1500. I usually buy new (trade-in) for the small 350 units, but it is far more cost effective to replace the battery in the 1500. The recycle option is appreciated and works. Unlike the other reviews I just read, I am completely satisfied with the last two replacement batteries. This most recent one arrived 100% charged and installed providing full capability and showing twenty minutes battery time remaining. Since I have a full backup generator in the event of power failure, I need only 30-40 seconds power backup from the ups, but the battery and surge protection provided has saved me more times than I can count. I live in NW Florida, one of the lightening centers of the country. 5

No problems with APC batteries, ever. They fit well, have all the cables, and do not boil over like the cheap replacements always do. Install it & forget it. Better things to worry about, knowing your data and workflow are protected. 5
