The cable sports a female XLR connection at one end, and a TRS 3.5mm plug at the other. Thanks to Sescom's specially designed circuitry, audio routed to the 3.5mm input should be free of distortion, giving you a clean audio capture. The cable measures 18" in length.

Q: 1. Could I plug a wireless Sennheiser lavalier receiver into this for Skype?

A: The Sennheiser transmitter is battery powered and cannot use the phantom power feature. This product is not designed o be compatible with Sennheiser bodypack transmitters.

Q: 2. My setup would be to use the 90 degree end into the camera which appears to be the reverse of the labels. Would that work? What impact would this have?

A: This attenuating cable will only work if connected into the right side as the label indicates, it will does not work the reverse way.

Q: 3. We have a small Assisted Hearing Device where the transmitter is a lav, and then the small receiver that also transmits the the signal to the hearing devices. A: Could work.. Give it a shot and let us know.

Q: 4. Does this work with iPad Air 2, iPhone 5, or iPhone 6 Plus with a Sennheiser G3 wireless? I just bought three of these cables and there's no audio in the headphones on any of them with this cable.

A: On Item: IPHONE-MIC35-1 the monitoring jack is available during playback only. A portable powered mixer would be the best solution if you need real time monitoring. The input/outputs on these devices do not allow for simultaneous recording and monitoring unfortunately.

Q: 6. Is this cord compatible with the iPad Mini 3? I just got it in the other day and have been running tests on my mini 3. Can get audio to the headphones but cannot get the mic to work. Thought maybe I got a bad cable but now I am thinking maybe it is not compatible at all. :/

A: Andrew, I have to apologize as we have not yet tested with the iPad mini 3. We have tested with the vast majority of Apple products with great success. Most devices from apple are utilizing the same trrs pin-out and handle signals the same way.Its possible that we need to review the product with the iPad mini 3 and test further, its also possible that you received a cable that inst working properly- which is a very rare occurrence with our QC processes. Or another possibility is how garage band is handling the signal itself. Please make sure the cable itself is seated fully in the iPad, and please reach out to us to trouble shoot on the phone. We will not be able to test compatibility until we purchase receive and bench test in our R&D lab.you can reach us at 845.246.1915 or 800-543-0909 - Ask for Sescom Tech support, and or Dan. we can walk you through a few tests that may help us determine the failure point.

Am able to connect a professional studio mic and headphones to my iPad with this! Totally rocks for webinars, teleconference calls, Skype coaching calls, Blab, any two way communications or video conferencing apps. My only pet peeve is that my RODE VideoMicro does not work on it. :( Not sure if that is because of the cable or the mic. Still need to test some other mics to be sure.
