Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work on a manfrotto 055xproB tripod?

A: The Sunwayfoto Dedicated L-Bracket for Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II Mirrorless Cameras is compatible with tripod heads that have an Arca-Swiss Style clamp. If you have a head like that on the Manfrotto 055xproB tripod it will work

Q: 2. Does it fit the Z5?

A: Yes it does appear to fit just fine on the Z5.

Q: 3. Will the Tilta Ta-CC1-B work with a Smallrig 2926B on a Nikon Z6?

A: No, the mounting points on the Smallrig 2926 do not line up with that of the Tilta HDMI Clamp Attachment for Tiltaing Nikon Z6/Z7 Cage.

Q: 4. Will the vertical flange of the L-bracket fit the Benro IB2 Triple Action Ball Head tightly?

A: Yes the vertical flange of this bracket will fit the Benro IB2 tightly.

Q: 5. In reference to "Does it fit the Z6 II?" (question already asked), the B&H staff has given conflicting answers: Ryan says No and Rob says Yes. Please. clarify this issue so that I (as well as others who are considering the purchase) can make the right decision. Thank you for your consideration! Juan Renta

A: To answer again, I just brought the bracket up from our warehouse and attempted to put it on the z6ii and it did not fit. I couldn't tighten the screw into the threading because of the raised pieces that fit around the smaller body of the z6.

Q: 6. Looks like there are a couple of holes in the upright side of the L. Are either of them threaded for 1/4 20? I want to attach a Black Rapid strap to the L bracket while it is mounted to the camera.

A: There is one 1/4-20 on the lower side of the L bracket, that is sadly the only one on that side.

Q: 7. What's the two rubber gaskets for?

A: The rubber gaskets are there if one needs them to facilitate a better fit for the L bracket.

Q: 8. Does it fit the Z6 II?

A: It will not. The z6ii footprint is larger.

Q: 9. Is this compatible with the AC adapter kit?

A: Yes, the Neewer MB-N11 Battery Grip for Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II allows you to charge batteries with a USB-C cable attached to a USB charger in a wall outlet.

Q: 10. I mean is this compatible with the EP-5B/EH-5b,c,d? I cannot see if the battery area has an opening for the cable

A: No, the Neewer MB-N11 Battery Grip for Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II is not compatible with Nikon EP-5B Power Supply Connector for Select Nikon Cameras and the Nikon EH-5d AC Adapter. Those last 2 camera accessories were designed to be connected directly in the camera.

I upgraded from the D750 to the Z6. WOW! The Z6 feels great in the hand. The color is fantastic and the sharpness of the 24-70 is top notch! The lens adapter feels natural and I have use of my old lenses! All the customization is great, but you have to play around with it to find what you like. The quality of the image is really amazing at high ISO too. No problems with autofocus. You need to purchase the XQD reader and an extra battery in addition to this kit. 12 Frames per second is crazy fast, and the silent shutter function is really silent. The standard shutter is WAY quieter than the D750. I am glad I made this purchase. I have enlarged prints to 24x30 with no problem. You will not go wrong with this. For me the extra money for the Z7 is not worth it. Get this Z6!!! Maybe two of them!

I was a bit skeptical about getting the Nikon Z6 after hearing about some of these issues from so called

Very pleased so far with the Z6- handles beautifully, menus easy to navigate, focus has been lively, and color, WB, etc all up to Nikon standards. Buttons, overall handling nicer than competition for me. Kit zoom sharp with nice rendering. Battery life better than expected. Nikon needs to make a few small primes to make it more of an easy carry around camera, such as the Sony a-series that I formerly used. Great first salvo from Nikon.

After the firmware update fixed the AF it became an excellent camera. The AF is still not on par with Sony, but in most cases I don't experience any problems.
The raw files are fantastic, there isn't much editing needed to get nice bright colors, and noise is very low and easy to remove.
The biggest con is poor customization. I can assign buttons and dials on Sony so I never need to dive into the menu, not so with Nikon, even for common functions you need to go to menu. That is somewhat mitigated by the custom menu, which I assigned to Fn2 button.

I'm still getting used to the menus but the pictures it takes are awesome.
The mirrorless design along with the vibration stability provides pictures sharper than I've ever gotten from my older Nikons and lenses.
My recent fireworks pictures I took on the 4th surpassed my expectations. I used to count on 4-8 good pictures, I got 25-30.
I can't wait for the new mirrorless lenses to be released.

I shoot professionally on weekends so I can’t afford to lose images any more than a full-time pro. I use SnapBridge during the shoot and full WiFi when done. Not as convenient as 2nd card slot but not difficult either. Love the Z6! Great build quality, excellent images and the weight compared to my D800 is a joy.
If your only roadblock is the single slot and you’re not a full-time pro don’t over think it. The FTZ adapter works well and when Nikon releases a 2 card slot in a few years you’ll want your trusty Z6 as a backup body.
Meanwhile the Z6 is amazing.
