Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do I need an adapter in order to get this lens to work on my x pro 3?

A: Hi, you do not need any adapter to use this lens on the X-Pro 3.

Q: 2. Is it normal for the 75mm's rear element to be about an inch into the lens? I'm accustomed to rear elements being near the outer part of the lens rear, and it makes me wonder if mine is missing.

A: Yes, that is the normal lens design for the KIPON Iberit 75mm f/2.4 Lens for Leica L.

Q: 3. does this lens correctly use the Nikon Z camera's in-focus indicator as well as trigger and accurately function with the Focus Peaking feature?

A: The KIPON Elegant 90mm f/2.4 Lens for Nikon Z is manual focus but it is compatible with the manual focusing assist features (such as focus peaking) in the Nikon Z cameras.

Q: 4. Will this fit a Leica T (type 701?)

A: No , Leica T is a different mount

Q: 5. What version is for fuji? Do you have the one with the white “35” label, I don’t like the blue one.

Q: 6. Does this lens work with the R series focus assist feature (the little matching arrows one, not talking about focus peaking)?

A: This lens has no mechanical or electronic link to the camera. You have to manually focus untill the image looks sharp. in the view finder via the cameras dual pixel system.

Q: 7. How do you set up a Leica T to use this lens?

A: This lens has a direct Leica L mount to fit Leica cameras such as the Leica T, which utilizes the same lens mount.

Q: 9. I know they are not encoded... many I have seen have the engraved spaces on the mount and I want to confirm that this specific lens has the engraved spaces so I can put in the code myself?

A: According to the manufacturer, the KIPON Iberit 24mm f/2.4 Lens for Leica M (as well as all of their Leica M-mount lenses) already feature the 6-bit engraved spacing; they simply require you to paint the proper code onto the lens mount flange.

Q: 10. To use this lens on a Nikon Z7 does it need the FTZ adapter?

A: This lens has a direct Nikon Z mount to work on a Nikon Z7.

What more can I say about this excellent Nikon Z lens? It's a must-have, and an easy decision especially during Nikon's rebate events. This is my third 1.8 S lens. Like my 20 and 85, the 50 is sharp edge to edge, even wide open at 1.8. Gorgeous results. Solid build. Quiet, fast focus. Highly recommended!

Front element is concave. IQ is spectacular. Colors are superb. AF is very fast and near silent. Otis quality for $500 on sale. Amazing.

I just got back into photography and picked up a z6iii and this lens. I'm coming from an older d5100 and 50mm 1.8g lens.

WOW is all I can say. The combination of the camera (with advancements in IQ and AF) and this lens are truly stunning. I took it out the other night for Halloween with my kids and was truly blown away with the shots that I got. Incredibly sharp, even wide open, and beautiful bokeh. This is truly a different realm of optics from my old setup. Highly recommend.

Stepping up from the F mount 1.8 to the Z series 50mm would not seem to deliver much difference, however sharpness around the edge has been redefined to bring more of your image into focus. Slightly heavier than the F mount, -it's sleek, you can't go wrong with this lens!

This was the first lens I bought for my Nikon and it is great. The problem with 50mm lenses is that they are either super basic or super expensive. Nikon broke the trend by producing one that walks right up to the line of diminishing returns and stops. It is more expensive than Nifty Fifties but it is hard to imagine me ever outperforming this lens. It will always be better at photography than me. It would be nice if it was a little smaller but that would require quality to take a hit or for someone to circumvent the laws of physics.

Really nice lens. Better than the F mount version in terms of sharpness, but also a bit bigger. Justifies the move to Z mount system

This is an expensive lens when you consider that you can buy the F version with an FTZ ii adapter and have about $60 left over. So why spend the extra money? The simple answer is that the lens is just that much better. I few years ago I bought the F version of the 50mm f/1.4 to use for night street photography. That lens at f/5.6 is very sharp but at f/1.4 it's a dog. So it went on the shelf never to be used again. While the f/1.8 F version is sharper than. the f/1.4, it still can't compare to the Z version. I have been shooting the lens wide open and it's as sharp or sharper than any Nikon lens I have at any aperature, and I have some very nice ones. Don't take my word for it, look at the DxO reviews. They rate it sharper than the Zeiss Otus and that's a $4K lens. The lens is free of distortion and the color rendition is beautiful. On my Z9 it's giving me some of the sharpest pictures I have ever shot.

Incredibly sharp and looks amazing with my Z7. Feels great in hand and it being 1.8 is superb. I now use it very often.

This is a beautiful lens, no doubt. I have tried the Z 24-70 f4 as well, and find it to be just as sharp as this 50 prime. Lovely, for sure. Can't go wrong with either lens, but if I had a choice, it would be the 24-70. The image quality is the same.

Needed a compact, travel-sized prime lens for portraits. Originally planning on buying the new Nikkor 50mm f1.4, but ultimately chose this lens instead due to its better construction, favorable online reviews, and it was on sale just slightly more expensive than the 50mm f1.4. So far I'm very happy with it. I configured the focus ring for aperture in manual which makes manual shooting a breeze with this lens. Extremely sharp and versatile, but obviously doesn't deliver the same creamy bokeh as my 50mm f1.2S. Yet it's much smaller and lighter and serves my intended purpose beautifully!
