Q: 1. When i try to update the firmware it says: 'device not found' in macbook pro osx catalina. Any solutions?

A: According to the manufacturer, the firmware can only be updated on a Windows based PC.

Q: 2. any updates for canon lens compatibility or lists of canon lenses of the techart adapter for gfx50s?

A: According to Techart, they indicate that so far all Canon and Sigma EF mount lenses work well with this adapter. However, the image circle of these lenses may not fit the full sensor of the Fuji GFX camera.

Q: 3. Does this support continuous autofocus while recording in video mode?

A: Yes. The following unit will allow all passive communication. Just be mindful that continuous autofocus is power hungry.

Q: 4. Hello, I want to buy this adapter for by Fujifilm Xt-3. But my Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 is heavy. Is the adapter built in plastic or metal? Regards, Lucie

A: This adapter is made of metal.

Q: 5. I got this adapter today, and mounted my Sigma 85/1.4 (and other Canon lenses), and for the life of me cannot figure out how to get auto-aperture to work on my GFX 50s body ... I read a lot of reviews that say the TechArt adapter supports auto-aperture, but I can't figure it out ... ideas?

A: I've found the same. It's really more of pick an aperture setting and it will auto determine the shutter speed with the shutter dial on A. Doesn't seem to work the other way around.

Q: 6. Does the filter have any colour cast? I'm needing a high-quality filter that doesn't take away sharpness or change the colour is this suitable? Does it allow smooth electronic image stablisation and iris control on canon lens?

A: This adapter will allow for the use of Image Stabilization and aperture control on a Canon EF lens. There have been no reports of a color cast or a reduction in sharpness when using the built-in ND filter.

Q: 7. Does this work with GFX100 II & GFX100s II (including autofocus, aperture control, exif imprinting)?

A: Yes, the KIPON Canon EF/EF-S Lens to FUJIFILM G-Mount Camera Autofocus Adapter is compatible with the GFX100 II & GFX100s II and it supports autofocus, aperture control, and EXIF data.

Q: 8. Specifically, will this support full functionality for the Leica SL (not SL2, SL2-s)? Other mounts from 3rd party companies have not supported the original SL. (IE; Sigma MC-21)

A: According to the Compatibility tab listed on the manufacturer's website, yes, the Commlite Electronic Autofocus Lens Mount Adapter for Canon EF or EF-S-Mount Lens to L-Mount Camera would be compatible for use with the original Leica SL (Typ 601) Mirrorless Digital Camera. AF-S autofocus is listed with all of the lenses on the manufacturer's list. However, they state AF-C is not available.

Q: 9. Will this adapter support Fuji XT-4 IBIS?

A: Yes, the Fuji X-T4 camera's IBIS (In-body stabilization) will work with the 7artisans Photoelectric Autofocus Adapter for Canon EF/EF-S Lens to FUJIFILM X-Mount Camera.

Q: 10. I'm wanting to use this on a sony fx6 with has it's own in built electronic Vari ND which when using with mechanical variable in the creates funky unwanted colour shifting in parts of the image because effectively you have to polarizers. I'm assuming that this would have the same effect? In which case do you sell this item without the variable ND filter and I purchase my own solid 37mm ND filters to place in the tray? Will it fit any 37mm filter with out it being tight or moving around? Thanks

A: This does incorporate a Variable ND filter. There have been no reports of a color cast or a reduction in sharpness when using the built-in Variable ND filter. Unfortunately this is not available as an adapter without the Variable ND filter. This does accept 37mm filters. It should work with 37mm filters of standard thickness.
