A: No, the Plustek OpticBook 3800L Scanner would not be a good option for scanning legal sized documents. This scanner has a scanning bed of 8.5 x 11.7" which is smaller than legal sized documents.

Easy way to review and cull slides before scanning. Culling saves total scan time and wear-and-tear on the scanner. Better doing the cull now than in post in Lightroom. 5

Little bit worried about the packaging when it arrives. But the good thing is its homogenous brightness all over the frame, which is good. Two functions are good options, but when it uses a battery, the quality of intelligence gets loose. 5

The Kaiser Slimlite Plano 5000K Lightbox Is an outstanding lightbox with a large viewing area, AC or battery operated and most importantly the 5000K output provides a neutral, white light that helps render tones faithfully. As an added benefit it also serves well as the light source for when I copy slides and negatives using my Nikon 850 and the ES-2 duplicator. So far I have copied over 1800 images from my 50 years of film photography (only 253,000 images to go) and I must say the fidelity of the images was definitely directed impacted by the quality of light put out by the Kaiser Slimlite. Outstanding quality and build. The Kaiser Slimlite is a product is a must buy. 5

The table is uniformly lit, can be very bright, runs off USB or internal battery. Glass seems sturdy. Size fits my smallish workspace. Light and portable. Easy to store when not in use. Perfect for the person with many slides and negatives to organize for scanning or systematic storage. I'd buy again. Highly recommend 5
