Give your camera solid feet to stand on with the 100AL2 100mm Aluminum Tripod from OZEN. Designed for use with a separately available 100mm fluid head, this lightweight two-stage tripod supports a payload of 55 pounds and offers working heights ranging from 25.6 to 62.5" using the included, removable mid-level spreader. If you need to go even further up or down, you can replace the included spreader with the separately available Contender heavy-duty mid-level spreader, which gives you a range of 23.6 to 65".

For greater rigidity, the 100AL2's aluminum leg tubes are pin-secured to their anchors—no glued joints. Highly visible flip-lock brakes are used to secure the legs into place. Moreover, the 100AL2 comes equipped with deep-tread rubber feet for better traction on smooth surfaces.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you remove the fluid head?

A: Yes you can. Just unscrew the knob underneath the tripod head when you want to remove it from the tripod.

Q: 2. How low and how high can the camera go on this tripod?

A: Height Range on this tripod is: 35" to 73.2"

Q: 3. Compared to the original FSB 8, does the MKII have more drag at its maximum setting, or does it have the same drag with more steps in between. In other words, is step 5 on the FSB 8 equal to step 7 on the FSB 8 MKII?

A: The FSB 8 Mark II has more drag at it's maximum setting compared to the original.

Q: 4. Can I extend the mid spreader to get to a lower height?

A: Yes, the mid level speader will extend, giving the ability to lower the over all tripod on the E-Image EG04AS 2-Stage Aluminum Tripod System with GH04 Dual-Base Fluid Head.

Q: 5. Does the fluid head included with this tripod have separate pan & tilt tension adjustments, or only locks? The fluid head in these images appears to be the Magnus VPH-20, which has separate pan & tilt tension knobs. However, I don't see that feature listed in the specifications for the fluid head included with this tripod.

A: There is some degree of tension adjustment, but it's really had to adjust in that respect. In practice, the controls act more like locks. The tilt action does have a separate knob to adjust tension, but it's really hard to turn that knob, so it's not something you'll want to change a lot. You can set the tension for the camera you'll use, then pretty much want to leave it alone. That is for the tilt, there is no separate tension adjustment for the pan, just the one knob that may allow you to add some tension, but it's not very precise in that respect, mainly just good to lock the pan movement. This tripod is functional for the price, but as with anything you'll get what you pay for. For the price, this is a good tripod, it will do the job and holds up pretty well with use. But don't expect it to function as well as tripods that cost 3-4x as much, that just isn't realistic.

Q: 6. Am I able to shoot vertical with this tripad? I do a lot of vertical Video...

A: No you need a l bracket to be able to do a vertical Video

Q: 7. I was looking at the tripod and noticed there is a crank to raise and lower the center column. Is that removable or do you have to use it every time? It seems a bit cumbersome.

A: As far as I can tell, the hand crank is NOT removable. You do NOT need to raise the center post unless you wish to. The hand crank has NOT been an interference to me.

Q: 8. I need to buy arm or handle for this tripod, but i not seeing that accessory for buy!

A: Unfortunately, GVM does not offer second handle parts for this tripod model.

Q: 9. What is the counterbalance weight load?

A: The counterbalance weight load on this GVM 7017D Aluminum Video Tripod with Fluid Head System would be a fix counterbalance.

Q: 10. Is the Manfrotto 501PLONG plate compatible with this? There are no plates shown in the Accessories section.

A: The correct plate to work with when using the Sachtler FSB 8 MK II Fluid Head with Sideload Mechanism is to use the Sachtler Sideload Plate S/Ace Tripod QR Plate. It is not Manfrotto 501PL compatible. Sachtler Sideload Plate S/Ace Tripod QR Plate BH #SAWPDV1
