The Manfrotto 357PLV-1 Sliding Plate is a quick release camera plate compatible with Manfrotto's 526 Fluid Video Head and 357 Rapid Connect Adapter. This plate includes two each 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screws, providing secure two-point mounting on your camera.

This plate's anti-twist pin deters camera rotation when using a single screw and its rubber plug prevents the plate screws from falling out when not mounted on the camera.

A: The 055 xpro b is a Manfrotto tripod. What you need is a Manfrotto MH057M0-Q5 Magnesium Ball Head with Q5 Quick Release Kit which is what I use on my 055 xpro b tripods. I have several of the 501PL Sliding quick release plates and prefer them over anything else.

Q: 4. if I lost my quick release plate do they sell the release plate by itself?

A: Yes, this product is for just the 501PL quick release plate. It is a replacement part.

The red release button is on the opposite side on the PilotFly H2 which does not allow the locking mechanism to work properly.

A: No it will not. The plate for that head is the 200PL.

A: The 501PL is short but it will interface with those two heads.

A while ago I wrote a bitter evaluation of Manfrotto's L Bracket, concerned as I was that no screw caps were provided, hence allowing the screws to freely escape when no camera or lens was attached to the plates. Much to may surprise and obvious delight when I received my 4 recently ordered quick release plates, they not only had 2 screws (1/4-20 and 3/8) but they also had plastic stoppers preventing the screws to explore the outside world. Needless to say, I am delighted by this improvement for which I do not seek credit, but eventually, since I brought this to their attention, B&H may have had something to do with it, and if so, thanks a lot! 5

I use this for my Manfrotto monopod as well as my Manfrotto tripod. Works great because it's not too long or short while mounted on my GH4. It's high quality and lightweight, the only drawback I can think of is that it occasionally loosens & twists but that happens with all my camera's that don't use the pin to hold in place...more my problem than the plates problem. 5

When it comes to attaching your camera to your Manfrotto tripod head, Nothing Compares to the actual sliding quick-release plate that comes with the head. And when one of your jerk friends forgets to put it back on the head after he's done borrowing it, then finds it on the bottom of his camera, removes it and promptly loses it, well here we are. 5
