Optimized for cloud gaming services, including NVIDIA's GeForce NOW free beta, AmpliFi HD Gamer's Edition utilizes multiple self-configuring radios and advanced antenna technology to help deliver whole-home, low-latency Wi-Fi coverage.

Developed by Ubiquiti with NVIDIA's support, GeForce NOW QoS mode is designed to adjust networks for optimal game streaming performance. The QoS implementation offers gamers a simple solution for detecting latency or frame loss issues, resulting in an optimized experience when other traffic is present on the network.

Adjust the antenna on the MeshPoint node up to 270° for optimal performance.

Create a full mesh network to cover a large home with the AmpliFi HD Gamer's Edition Wi-Fi System. Examples include a central router with flanking MeshPoint nodes, or a mesh multi-hop setup with the router at one end of the house and the nodes placed in the center and opposite end of the home.

Available for download on Android and iOS smartphones, the AmpliFi app boasts features such as network setup, configuration, reporting metrics, parental controls, remote access, and guest access.

Q: 2. Everywhere I review this product, most Q&A are up to 3 years old and I've a "today" question. My ISP's provided Router is on the other side of the house from my home office and my Wifi drops from 236 Mbps to 15 Mbps in the office. Yes, I can fix this with a Mesh Point positioned nearby but my office also has 2 Tower PC's that need a wired connection and I cannot get a wire into that room. What can I do?

A: Use a pair of powerline network adapters. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1381775-REG/netgear_plp2000_100pas_plp2000_powerline_2000_with.html

Q: 3. Will this work on the 1D?

A: According to Canon's website it is not compatible

Q: 4. I have Altice One (Optimum) with a router/ modem combo. Will this work with my equipment?

A: Yes, it can be configured to work with routers made by other manufacturers to turn practically any network into a mesh.

Q: 5. Hi, would this adapter be compatible with the 5D Mark III?

A: reading the description from canon, no. At this time, only the 7D mkII, 5DS and 5DSR are listed to be supported.

Q: 6. compatible to use with Eos 5D Mark 3?

A: No, this is not compatible with the Canon 5d mark 3.

Q: 7. When will they be in stock?

A: Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have an estimated arrival date for the Canon W-E1 Wi-Fi Adapter. Once we have more information on the unit's arrival, we will update the Ship Time section on the Wi-Fi adapter's webpage, and update the item's inventory status. Until then, I would recommend clicking the white Request Stock Alert button on our website under the Pre-Order button and enter your e-mail address and we will e-mail you when the card is in stock. Otherwise, you may simply periodically check our website for an update in the item's inventory status.

Q: 8. My question is this I currently use SD cards for my main storage for my 7D mark ii , would I be able to use this Wi-Fi adapter using a CF card adapter so I can keep using my SD cards? Or would I have to bite the bullet and start using expensive CF cards?

A: You will need to start using CF cards if you use this adapter with the 7D Mark II.

Q: 9. Can the wifi adapter connect directly to a kindle tablet or is a router needed. I shoot with a 7d mk2. I use a CF card for RAW and a SD card for JPEG (same time). Looking to leave my laptop home and just carry my tablet. At end of days shooting I would like to replace the SD card with this adapter and then transfer the picture from the CF card to my tablet for viewing. Can I do that with this adapter? Is a wifi router needed as go between my tablet and camera?

A: You can connect directly to the W-E1 card directly as it creates its own hotspot. There is an option to use a local network but have not found this to be an advantage. I also shoot with a 7d mk2. I use a CF card which stores both RAW and JPEG. The W-E1 card remains installed in the SD slot.Using the Canon app on my iPad I can connect directly to the 7d and transfer the JPEG images images wirelessly. This is quite convenient to get a first look at the photos that I took, do basic corrections either with the Photos app or via the Lightroom app on the iPad, and then share. I do not believe there is an option to transfer raw to the iPad.Using the Canon EOS Utility on either my iMac or MacBook I can transfer the raw images wirelessly. These are then brought into Lightroom for processing.I do not believe that there is an app for the Kindle tablet but have not done a serious investigation as I do not have this device.Hope this helps.
